I looked at the replay and gotta go with NC on this.I don't like it but there is SOME justification for the call.
On top of that I really got to question Taylor thought process (if he wasn't a true Fr).Why hit him like that when he already was going down and I believe it would have been 4th and 7?
Not a good call but not the worse I've seen, even last wk-end.
THANK YOU!!! Right after this call was made (i was in fla with my aunt a gator fan(no point)) my aunt said to me "I hate when ref's decide a game"I disagree. IMO, "borderline calls" should never be made, period. If it's not a clear foul then don't influence the game by calling it. If in doubt, leave it out, as the old saying used to go.
Guys, it is hard to question the players thoughts until you are out there. I think if CT would have used his arms to wrap up along with the helmet or shoulder contact they might not have called it. Too many times in HS, College and NFL DB's moreso come in with helmets first.
