It may be that the SEC is weak, but Vandy's defense actually might be pretty good too. Look at their scores. We put up the most points on them of anyone.
 
Not even just the East. Every SEC team except Bama has 4 plus losses. Also consider that Herman and Jimbo apparently spurned LSU. No way to prop up the false narrative of SEC dominance anymore. They are being out-hired, out-coached, out-played.

Technically Florida won't have their 4th loss until next week.
 
Have said all year Butch Jones is the biggest clown coach in college football.

Vandy hits hard on Defense and got better as the year went on.

Won't be shocked if Jimbo takes over for Saban at Bama in the next 2 to 3 years. Texas is a dumpster fire that no coach should want to go to. Total mess.

They have to dig up somebody to be in the Sugar Bowl. Whoever it is should get drilled if matched against a team worthy of being there

Jumbo has already succeeded one legend and has now firmly established himself in Tallahassee. Why would he or anyone with a NC of his own attempt to succeed the greatest coach ever at the peak of his powers? I think Alabama is going to have trouble hiring Saban's successor -- or at least he won't be their first pick.

Saban is going to leaving a loaded roster not a depleted one like Bowden left. Bama will pay 7 mil that FSU can't afford and Bama will pay top money for a staff unlike FSU. This isn't your typical taking over for the legend coach who has overstayed his welcome like Bowden, Paterno, etc. with a depleted roster.

Agreed but that cuts both ways. Jimbo already has a loaded roster. Why move and have to win over a new fan base with insane expectations? FSU can afford to pay whatever it wants, but that's beside the point.

Actually FSU can't afford it and Jimbo has made it clear he wants more money for assistants. Compare the assistant pay at FSU and Bama. It isn't close.

They went damn near 30 years without winning anything and no coach was ever fired that fast. The ones who didn't leave on their own always got 4 years even with mediocre seasons.

The hyperbole was that the expectations are unrealistically high following Saban.

When you are making 5 mil plus expectations are going to be high anywhere. That isn't unique to Bama. Look what just happened to Charlie Strong. If you don't win you are shown the door at that salary metric.
