We probably could have won SEC east this year.

Still champions of life tho

It is eye opening to hear what some of these fanbases think they are. I think Saban really has broken the SEC. He's set an unrealistic benchmark for other programs. UT is talking about firing Jones after 8-4 after beating they're two biggest rivals like they should expect to be doing better than that. Because 20 years ago they were good. They literally called Mizzou, USCe, and Vandy "drizzling shits" compared to them on that radio show. After they gave up almost 2K yards to those 3 lol.

When you are making 5 mil plus expectations are going to be high anywhere. That isn't unique to Bama. Look what just happened to Charlie Strong. If you don't win you are shown the door at that salary metric.
Is it just me or does it seem you are being willfully obtuse? Comparing Saban and Strong is silly. Strong just finished his third straight losing season, yet he probably would've kept his job if he'd just made it to a bowl game. Saban's successor will not have that kind of freedom at all. Alabama was mediocre for a long time but they're not now, and every Bama fan I know (like the media) thinks it's their birthright to win the SEC and be in the playoff. To be fair Saban has proven that on the field. His successor better have a very rich contract because it'll be tough to last more than a few years without a NC.

I am not comparing Saban and Strong. I am comparing their salary level. Any coach who is making 5 mil or above is going to have big time pressure to win. It doesn't matter if it is Alabama paying the 5 million or Purdue paying it. Once you get to that level the pressure to win is the same at Alabama as it is anywhere else paying that amount of money. The days of coaches getting 4 or 5 years are long gone because the money is so big now and I think that is a bad thing.

GT>Vandy>Tennessee>UGAg

We own this state, the state of Virginia, and the state of Tennessee.

Ok, we're officially going in circles! If you can't see that expectations were much lower the past three years for Strong than they were for Saban, I don't think there's any way this dialogue is going to end up in some kind of agreement. No worries - we just beat UGA. I got nothing but good thoughts for anyone!

We probably could have won SEC east this year.

The SEC East is the worst division in college football this year (and the year before). The ACC Coastal is the 3rd most difficult as of earlier this month (behind ACC Atlantic and SEC West, although that may be in flux with Big 10 resurgence.). We would have wiped the floor with the SEC East. Florida's offense was kept out of the end zone last night by an FSU defense that has been beleaguered by the FSU faithful for two seasons.

Not even just the East. Every SEC team except Bama has 4 plus losses. Also consider that Herman and Jimbo apparently spurned LSU. No way to prop up the false narrative of SEC dominance anymore. They are being out-hired, out-coached, out-played.
LSU promoted from within, similar to Dabo & Clemson. Smells similar.

If the SEC East doesn't improve we could start beating those teams every year.

How did the East do against the West?

SOS, weren't you one of those bad mouthing CCK for his work as FSU DC?

Maybe? I'm not really sure to be honest with you. In hindsight today, FSU fans have always compared him to Pruitt which may or may not be fair, I know his performance after the Groh firing had me hopeful we would remove the interim tag at that time.
