“I just have experience with the offense. I have been able to control the tempo, the mesh points and how to operate the offense pre-snap,” Venables said. “Scouts are a little more scared of me so I can hurry up and get them lined up faster. Snap it when I want to. Make sure the defense is adjusted the right way so if I need to stop just before I snap it I can. I’m just being efficient.”

Hope this makes it to CPJ's desk ...

That's actually kinda cool. Venebles is a good coach. I'll be glad to see him leave for a HC position some day. Hopefully in a different conference.

Dabo has had amazing success with his coordinator hires. As much as people fawned over Chad Morris, I think Brent Venables may be a better coach.

I love how proud they are of this:

"In 2014, the Yellow Jackets scored just one offensive touchdown and kicked two field goals, while its rushing attack was limited to 251 yards – 91 yards below their season average of 342.1 yards per game."

Well duh. Our offense missed quite a bit of time on the field with the pick 6es all all of that. Without those, we easily meet or beat our average.

This is why I have total yardage and points against as a measure of defensive success. Yards allowed per play and % of drives that end without scoring are much better metrics for a D.

I wonder if they spent any time during SCSt week practicing for us since that was walkover for sure.?
