It's a shame that Roof's career here as a Defensive Coordinator has made it to where when I read his name I become filled with bitterness and hatred and the urge to vomit. But then, there is always that comic relief, when I ponder why the in bloody hell Duke would actually look at his performance as a D coord here and think to themselves, "this is the guy who will turn us around!" I have always suspected that Coach K was behind that decision...

That's just sad. No matter what he did or didn't do as a coach, Ted was a warrior as a Tech player and will always be one of my favorites. Anyone who would feel hatred towards a former star who NEVER has done anything to sully the name of his alma mater is just a sad individual IMO.

I heard Cutcliffe on the SFKO show today with Wes and Tony. He said when he got to Duke, they were the fattest, slowest, weakest football team he'd ever seen. He said it was like the goose with the golden egg - "Hell, if we just get these guys back into shape we'll win 4 games." That may or may not say something about Roof's coaching, but I thought it was interesting.
