You must have been that guy in the corner of the computer lab everyone would make fun of for being a nerd, right before they died of dysentery.
Something like that... a couple of my elementary school classmates and I were occasionally hyper competitive over who could finish their quiz/test the fastest and get the best grade. Fortunately I still played baseball, football, soccer, and basketball year round so managed to not be 100% nerd. Well rounded as they call it... with some nerd mixed in. We'd take the same competitive drive to the play ground and had some fierce grade school basketball, kickball, soccer, and 4-square competitions.
I always thought Oregon Trail was a stupid waste of time...just like Lord of the Rings and most fiction stuff with the exception of Star Wars and some others. Now you got me reminiscing on my glory days of elem. school

Carmen Sandiego rocked. So did Ghostbuster II for NES. Speaking of which, anybody play Ghostbusters for PS3?? Also rocks.
