Wake Forest Game Time

Don't tell that to WF. They are the fastest growing brand in the ACC. According to them.

They should change the University's name to Wake "The" Forest. The free viral branding is worth a fortune.

I used to live not far from the town Wake Forest. I think most of the folks there are either Heels or Pack fans, tho. It is not far from Raleigh. Hell, I'd bet they're number two in W-S, behind the Heels, in popularity.

Wake only has 5,400 undergrads, compared to UNC's almost 20,000, and NCS's 26,000. Also, I'm sure they have a higher percentage of out-of-state students, and graduates who move out of state. In fact in past years, the number 2 state of enrollees at Wake was New Jersey. So they tend to get their fanbase from people actually connected to the school, even in Winston-Salem, while UNC and NCS get support from lots of non-grads.

Having lived in North Carolina for a year, UNC is to that state what UGa is to Georgia. N.C. State fans, and they were really cool people, have a huge little brother syndrome about them.
And of course UNC people call Duke "the state university of New Jersey at Durham" because of all the out-of-state license plates there.

Didn't get that vibe at all living in Greensboro for 4 years. Can't recall going anywhere around town where I felt I was in a sea of NC Blue. Plenty of App State, ECU, Elon, Charlotte gear around, and UNCG people almost relished not being associated with UNC.

Where I lived and worked was some ECU territory too. But my trips to Greensboro, I saw a lot of UNC connection.

I spent a lot of time in western North Carolina from Asheville west and it was always majorly Tennessee Vols football.

I use Directv Stream for primary live television viewing. No CW here. Keep the Hulu account active for some on demand, and it seems I am prolly going to have to enable Hulu Live to get the WF game or maybe go OTA for that one game before doing something different. Honestly, dependent upon some of this, I may just go back to cable depending upon what options I can get from Comcast.

We have eight (8) TVs in the house. All are equipped with Firestick with the exception of the deck TV which is a FireTV. But, we only watch 1-2 televisions at once with the rare instance where we might have 3 going on actual live TV. Just want to have an option to view if in a certain room. If I can put a box on 1 (maybe 2) of the main TVs only and use the Comcast streaming app on the others from time to time, that might be the route I go back to. Other option is to stick with what I have and add in more OTA options or something.

Sounds like a decent plan. I currently have FUBO (for Bally Sports [Braves/Hawks] and I am switching to Hulu Live TV for 49.99 for the next 3 months to get CW for ACC FB & BB. I am more excited about Damon Stoudamire than I am watching the Hawks on Bally.

Also with the news that Comcast (No.2 w/15 million pay TV homes.) and Direct TV, Direct TV Stream, U-verse platforms (together the No. 3 U.S. pay TV provider {13 million bundled video subscriptions }) Diamond's distribution contract with both expire this fall. It appears that now is the time switch to Hulu Live for me. As I am guessing there are major changes coming to Diamond's distribution soon.

FWIW: Diamond's distribution contract with DirecTV (No.3) expire this fall, so does its carriage deal with the nation's No. 1 pay TV provider, Comcast, which controls 15 million pay TV homes. The No. 2 pay TV operator Charter Communications is set to expire this winter.
