we almost got outcoached by the chest

In my uneducated opinion, I bet Tenuta saw film on the NC State QB and thought that he couldn't make all the passes for a sustained touchdown drive. So he made it a point to completely shut down the run and give up the pass underneath, expecting Evans to eventually not make a first down with his arm.

And that eventually did work out for us, as the wolfpack only scored 6 points not off turnovers or special teams and only allowed 3 more points when NC State had great field position from a turnover.

Again, OSU has the best scoring defense in the nation at 7.3 points per game and we're complaining about our D letting NC State score 6 points.

Re: No, It's A Depth Problem

I have to finally disagree on the special teams assessments.

The kickoff problems begin and end with short kicks with no hang time. When we stop them on the 30-35 it is like when other teams get stopped on the 20 because our kicks only travel to the 10. And the other teams get a LOT of chances because there are no downed kicks. Many chances eventually equalls disaster.

The punt coverage is fine using the same players because the punts are high and deep. Think about that.

Now, I will point out that perhaps the coverage team is not releasing as well on the KOs as good coverage teams.

What a complete ninny comment. Did you even watch the game? Outcoached? 7 points on a punt return and another 10 off our QB throwing lame duck passes. Christ what a stupid comment. Amazes me how little our fans know.
