We are apparently miserable

So Georgia State fans are ranked above us and are content with the program. Cool

Discuss.

I bet their methodology is terrible, but it has been a rough couple of days on here.

Program power:Combination of strength of records from 2012-2016 and current FPI compared to recent history.
Rivalry dominance: Combination of wins above expectation over rivals in past five seasons and how a team's FPI compares to its rivals'.
Coaching stability: How close a coach is to being fired, based on Phil Steele's coaching stability rankings.
Recruiting trend: Difference in percentage of five-, four- and three-star recruits in current class vs. expectation.
Revenue growth: Difference between revenue earned in 2016 season relative to 2012-2015 average. Data derived from U.S. Department of Education Equity in Athletics Database.
Twitter buzz: Percentage of tweets from fans that are positive, based on social media sentiment analysis.

The methodology is based on ESPN's FPI, Phil Steele, recruiting stars, and revenue (oddly enough). Oh and they data mined Twitter so ya, there's that.

Just wut in the ever living wut!?

Texas is 37 happy with their program? if anybody should be ranked 120 in happiness right now it should be texas

Almost all national observers are too caught up in the conference race and underestimate the significance of COFH. We beat UGA in spectacular fashion on their turf. Then, bonus, we beat another overrated SEC team in a not completely obscure bowl game on Jan 1. And, we're about to stun the world and go 16-0. I'd say we're all pretty happy around here.

That's the first time I've clicked on an espn link in a long time. It's still a waste of my time. I used to check espn every single day.

The designer and developer of that experience should be fired and then put out of their misery.

I don't know how they put those together, but if you look at the team that is ahead of us, I think we have higher values than they do in each category, and I know our total is higher. WTF is that?

This low ranking is causing us to be more miserable, which will cause us to fall further in the rankings, which will cause us to be even more miserable... Somebody make it stop!

Program power: 70/100...could see that
Rivalry dominance: 25/100...should be 66.7% imho....2 out of 3!
Coaching stability: 24/100...a joke. CPJ ain't going nowhere. Phil Steele is retarded.
Recruiting trend: 67/100...ok
Revenue growth: 45/100...better than #1 ranked Ohio St
Twitter buzz: 73/100...shocking! Also better than Ohio St's 5/100

This is totally dumb and wrong.

Better tell Paul Johnson he's got lower coaching stability than Kirby Smart! Welcome to the hot seat, coach!!

We got a 24 out of 100 on "coaching stability" with the longest tenured coach in the ACC.

It's just wrong. It's almost inconceivable he'd be fired after this season unless we went 0-12 and got blown out by Georgia. And maybe, what, 5% of Tech fans want him gone currently? That's more stability than probably 90% of schools.

I don't get why he keeps ranking high on coaching hot seat lists. I think it's wishful thinking by opposing teams
