We are fighting the wrong team.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't look like he really even connects clean on that punch. He doesn't even have his fist clinched.

Kind of wonder what they were arguing about...

No mfing way, beyotch, 8-yard cushion!
8-yard cushions are for dumb mfers with no game, 10-yard cushion!
Get yo mind rite, bro - that won't fly when they start runnin' bubble screens every play
Who dafuq calls bubble-screens anyway - besides, I got that covered all day - that's a pik-six for me, bro.
Pik-six this, beyotch!

Yeah you’re missing something.

Step went from mad to worried he just killed the dude

With modern strength training, barefisted punches can be dangerous. Fortunately Lance was OK

Sad part is this isn't out first time with Jacket on Jacket violence that went viral. Pj Davis knocked out teammate and made world star 2 years ago. This might be a trend when we have awful seasons.

Plus the video of Rod Sweeting body slamming Jeff Greene

step didn't play much saturday, not that it mattered. he was replaced early on when he failed to seal the corner on an early chubb run, as I remember it. it was a good move by roof, although he was about two years too late with the change. had lance been a running back or wide receiver, there would not have been any contact. step was the Achilles in our rather good secondary, for certain.

to that point, one of CTR's biggest mistakes in circa 17 was not utilizing the strength of his secondary enough, which was that they were pretty decent in man cvrg but played super-soft zone like my mother was coaching them. Good lord, would someone teach our DBs man tendancies out of a zone, instead of the passive shit we ran for the last few years!! I'm not a sell-out blitz dude, usually, but when the front four can't provide pressure, we needed more blitz packages, changing them up in key situations btwn OLB, ILB and DB blitz schemes. our secondary could have held their own in man, even when committing more to the rush. CTR has always been a bend not break dude, so I guess it's tough to change your tactics when you've bought into that mantra for most of your career. as mentioned by numerous astutes on this board, it's not all on him, but that's where I would start.

if I were CPJ, i'd use our first five scholies on D on the front four (or 3) and corners. treat scholies like the NFL treats the draft now...go get D front three or four, CBs and a stud WR and QB. the CPJ system will bring in our OL and A/B backs and LBs are actually becoming easier and easier to find. As a matter of fact, many SS/FS are the LBs of tomorrow as they build weight, as speed now outranks beef as a LB attribute more and more.

sorry, gotta go ....almost yanked a hammy, mid-rant.

Looks like he hit with the heel of his hand from the @JJacket school of brawling.
Don't break knuckles, don't hit with a straight punch.

First and foremost, don't dare someone to hit you and stand with your head forward giving them a nice target.

I bet it even was a shocker to the puncher. Bet he was just wanting it to hurt, not knock him out

I wanna know if this arose from on-field issues. Somebody use some computer wizardry to get a time-stamp off that video, and see if this we can link this to something. More fuel for the Fire Roof fire.

So I got to see an Ottoman slap after all?
My old neighbor, who passed away in the early 90's, used to be an MP back during WW2. I remember him telling me that he'd open fist hit the unruly, drunk, fighting servicemen with the they would calm down quick. I always pictured it being about like that punch only without the fist being balled up tight. He also said he had one of the little leather billy club type things if things really got out of control

If you would read what others work so hard to provide you would know it was during spring practice.

You’re talking about a blackjack. I have one of those I inherited from a relative who was a cop in the 1940s. It’s a pretty effective tool for neutralizing a drunk.
