After the Tenn and SC games, How many people thought they'd make it to Thanksgiving with 2 losses last year? The simple truth is that UGA is a rock solid team with one flaw: Poor character. But if they choose to play, they can and most likely will win any game. Last week was a perfect example. At haftime, while Coach Richt was being strong, silent, stoic and Christian, someone like Knowshon or his thug teammate had a lightbulb go on and thought, "hey, it would be fun to come back and win wouldn't it? Whose bringing the weed to the after party?" So they tried in the 3rd quarter. If they had tried in the 1st, they'd probably have won.

I give UGA a 50/50 shot to run the table til our game.

Last year Knowshon emerged and saved the mutts' bacon. Why Richt didn't give him more carries prior to the Vandy game is anyone's guess. Who do they have this year? They've got no weapon to pull out at this point this year. What you see is what you got. Their only hope is for their OL/DL to start playing better - which they may do.
 
Polls aren't accurate until everyone's played everyone else. Polls become more accurate as everyone plays everyone else, and some folks ranked highly early start to accumulate losses. That's just the way it is.

We had our chance at an early ranking, and pissed it away with a very, very poor performance vs a Virginia Tech team that would be 1 and 4 if it weren't for ACC officials bailing them out in 3 consecutive games.


Are we better on paper than Wake? No. UConn? Unbeaten. Oregon? No. Fresno State? No. Ok State? Unbeaten. VT? Head to head loss.

There's your AP poll. We can't sensibly go higher than VT until they lose to someone we beat, and there's certainly no reason for them to be higher than they are.

Can it and let some teams beat each other. And if we don't win our next 3 handily, then we didn't deserve to be ranked anyway.
 
right now we are the victim of a new coach and triple option bias IMO. It is not that big of a deal b/c we have a good chance to win out in the ACC which will give us a ranking and recognition.

It is surprising that Wake's loss to Navy did not hurt them and F$U more.
 
I'd bet anything that if FSU beats Miami this weekend, they'll not only be ranked, but people will proclaim that the Noles are back.
