We got whipped on both lines

You can piss and moan about officiating, Pat Clark, Taylor Bennett, or whoever, but when you get dominated in the trenches the way we did you aren't going to win the game.

We got zero pressure on Matt Ryan and our "athletic" offensive line got manhandled by a big defensive front.

Yep, in my opinion if both lines swapped their jerseys before the game started the score would probably be close to inverted too.

We got our ass whupped at the LOS.

Very true --and very disappointing. Yet another step-up opportunity that falls by the wayside. Three teams ranked ahead of GT lost --so lost was not only an opportunity to get a leg up in the ACC , but also an opportunity to possibly crack the top 10.

Bad calls aside --and there were a few bad calls that did hinder Tech's opportunity to set themselves up to pull this game out (although the D would have had to show signs of stopping BC late --and I don't think they were capable of doing that), GT now is in a 'better-win-out-in-conference' position --and as for the polls --it's back down to the 22-25 range.

That's pretty much where we deserved to be ranked IMO. I think this is still a top 25 team, but not a top 15 team.

We've done nothing to deserve a top 25 ranking. We beat two terrible teams and got whipped by one really good one. I'm not sure that merits a top 25 ranking.

These comments make no sense to me. I don't deny that the lines struggled on both sides of the ball, but when you get 'totally dominated' and are only down 2 scores in the fourth quarter, lousy reffing, a weak corner and a scatter armed QB throwing to receivers that can't make the big catch when it's available and needed have a HUGE impact on the game.

I think the receivers looked a little rusty too, but there where a few bright spots like the catch Thomas had over there best cover corner.

The reffing was lousy, but hardly favorable in any direction. That "scattered armed QB" had no running game to take the pressure off the pass because we couldn't block for crap. That weak corner was left on an island because Matt Ryan had all day to pick us apart because we got no pressure on the QB.
