We will not run the TO,

I definitely like the idea of coming up with a new name for it, other than Flexbone.

Yeah, GTO might work (Georgia Tech Offense). That way whatever the hell we want to do is part of the package.

Actually the TO can be run out of any formation. What makes it a TO is that the QB can hand off, keep, or pitch. Three options.

He can also throw passes so it should be called the 4-0 or Quad Option:D

WTFO is great

GTO wouldn't be half-bad either.

The defense could come onto the field behind the Ramblin Wreck
...and the offense could come out onto the field behind something along the lines of this:

Paint the ragtop white and you have our "throw back Thursday" unis! I like it.

dems, can you confirm this for us?

From what I have been told and what I gather after hearing it from a couple different coaches, we will be running a variation of WVU's offense the difference will be we are not in the shotgun like there offense as we will be under center. We will have 2 Split backs and a B-back which will most likely be Dwyer. There will be no tight end, but we will still have 2 WR's. Were gonna throw the ball more then Navy, I think more then likely they would want it will look like a 60/40 run pass ratio but I doubt that happens, we wont really know till after practices and the coaches get to really see them on the field.

Some people define spread as 'shotgun,' which is dumb in my opinion. I figure 'spread' has to do with what ratio of dudes are outside the tackles. The flexbone has all but two dudes outside the tackles, and yet still has the ability to run classic power triple option, so it's like Spread++.

It's the coolest offense ever. To quote JTS: "It's an offense that's an engineer's wet dream, because if everybody does everything right, it's unstoppable."

agree that the spread refers to horizontal spacing of the players, particularly the wide receivers. The closer they are to the sidelines, the more "spread".
