Wes Durhams comments on ACC expansion

I found this over on an FSU insider's message board and thought it was worth passing on. I'd take this division alignment, wouldn't you?

Wes Durham, the voice of Georgia Tech, was on sports talk here in Nashville this evening talking about ACC expansion. When asked what he thought the divisions would like he said that at first he thought that they would look like this:

ACC "A"
FSU
Miami
Tech
Clemson
BC
Cuse

ACC "B"
Carolina 4
UVA
Maryland

But now he's hearing that it might be more like this:

ACC "A"
FSU
Miami
BC
Cuse
Maryland
Virginia

ACC "B"
Carolina 4
Clemson
Tech

He said the same thing on a radio show up here in Raleigh. He must be busy these days.

The rationale that he was following was to think of the divisions like a TV guy would. He said the TV guys see the link between GT, Clemson and the carolinas as helpful for ratings. Not sure I fully understand or agree but that was the rationale.
