UGA and GT are both almost identical in terms of possessions per game (under 11) and TDs per possession (over 40%).

That would seem to indicate that the total number of possessions is going to be very low, and that any one turnover (or two) may be very important. Basically, that randomness has a higher chance of upsetting the outcome in this game than it would in typical games.

Jakie only wants to throw the ball down the sidelines and he does so pretty well at times. He does like to hit the tight end with the drag route underneath the zones. If we can somehow cover those routes and get a little pressure he will be frustrated and we may see Fields. However he will scramble around us worse than the UVA qb did. If you miss the tackle on the tailbacks on the corners its over with.

The dive may be the most productive play for us all day.

My thoughts on how the game unfolds if we win:

• Defense causes them to grind out drives early on slowing them down and causing them to press.
• We play a flawless game on offense and don't turn the ball over with several drives over 6 minutes
• We get a good bounce late and keep close
• Late surge against a tired defense and we score to go up at the end of the game
• Defense holds off late panic drive with less than a minute and we win.

I'm not holding out hope on a win, but I certainly won't be surprised if we do.

It's always tough to beat them simply because of the caliber of their athletes. Obviously, though, it can happen-- we just need to play "our game", not commit turnovers, and get a few of our own. I don't think we'll have too much trouble scoring.

I hate UGA. I hate their colors, their stupid mascot, their yankee band, barking, their lame engineering program, their obnoxious fans, their thug players, their Barney Fife looking head coach and their cesspool town. I’d fight all of them behind the Sonic if I could.

That said, I’m looking for the angles next week. Their run defense isn’t great, but they run the ball well with athletic TBs. Their passing game isn’t sexy, but neither is our pass D. Help a brother out. Show me the way to victory. What say you?
