What positon will Dwyer play next year?

Then why does coach seem to be recruiting bigger guys? Or am I missing something?
Well, yeah:
From the updated roster on Ramblinwreck.com:

Anthony Allen: 6'0, 225
Richard Watson- 6'1 225
Lucas Cox- 6'0 238
Dwyer: 6'0 228

I don't see where this is coming from, because it's not like Anthony Allen or Richard Watson are any bigger than Dwyer, in fact they're all nearly identical...

The only guy that's significantly bigger than Dwyer isn't even on the team yet, Daniel Drummond: 6'4 228...and I doubt he even plays B-back; he'll probably play LB

He is a lock to play B back this year. But with AA being able to play next year i wonder if we might then move him to A back.

I disagreed with you until watching the scrimmage today. It will be hard to keep A. Allen off the field next year. He is big too. He looked every bit of 6'2" 245, I dont care what the roster states (maybe it was the hair). I have faith CPJ will utilize the talent to help the team best.

My guess is one will start at B-back and the other will play both positions.

Or CPJ will finally be able to run the next reincarnation of his offense with TWO B Backs!!!

If there is ANYTHING that will help this offense go, it is fresh legs in the backfield

i would think that Dwyer and Allen will run B-Back next year, with JD maybe also some A-back play.

but having 2 guys that can switch out at B-Back is the key to punishing the Defense.

I don't get it. So many people on here assume Anthony Allen is a better runner than Dwyer. I have a hard time buying that. I expect them both to remain B-backs and both get plenty of carries ala Felix Jones and Darren McFadden next year. one two power combo.

I would expect either both Allen and Dwyer to sometimes run at the A-back position where the A back goes into motion and lines up in the I-formation behind the B-back. There's a lot you could do with that combo.

with as many options in the backfield that we have, i cant wait for the "statue of Shiva" play that we run....

who knows where the ball will end up!

I think it far more likely that we'll see a two-headed monster of Dwyer and Allen than either move to another position.

But it's fun to think about because because Dwyer has the speed to play A back.

WHAT ISN'T KNOWN is how good are Dwyer's recieving skills (hands, route running), and how well can he/is he willing to block in open space. Both are essential at A Back.

Imo, two-headed monster scenario is much more likely unless we really struggle at the A back position.
