Yep. It happened right in front of me. 4th down and short on our own 20 or so with the game still in question - the qb bounces it outside to the right and no one is there: 10 on the field on defense. BC lines up quickly inside the 5 to run another play before Key dashes down the sideline to call TO - someone on our D had run off and now we had only 9. (Really didn't matter as they scored next play anyway). Key destroyed his headset on the way back to sideline.

Saw that on TV. Was the ref deliberately not looking at Key?

Not ref's fault - Key mad at his team and coaches, not ref for that. The HL is at the new line of scrimmage at the 5 - so he isn't looking back up the field at Tech sideline. No idea why the safety can't count to 11.

Correct. They never showed the replay. If I recall correctly, that happened twice.
