The two components of a perfect football weekend have been accomplished. Life is good.
 
Calm down. Many of the folks around me agree that we have LOTS to work on. Even CPJ stated he was disappointed in the second half effort.
 
Honestly, this is one of the most level-headed days the forum has had. We have some problems, but I think everyone is confident that we'll get it fixed.

It's true. We do. But so does virtually every other team. I haven't seen a team play yet that didn't look at least a little rusty. We are certainly not a perfect team, but we won't play any teams that are.
 
Of course we have work to do. But damn! It's like we're duke.

One cupcake game and all the sudden were awful. It's bs.
 
It's not complaining --it's being observant of want was good about today and what needs some work. I didn't expect GT to come out clicking on all cylinders --and they didn't.

There was more good than bad --I'm really disappointed in our kicking game though, there has got to be some improvement here or it's going to bite us in the a$$ somewhere down the road against a UNC or VT.

Have you read CPJ's comments post game? He wasn't pleased either. His most telling comment was about our team being "too nice."

Controlled the game, comfortable win, but enough mistakes for CPJ and the staff to rip them a new one. I thought we played pretty good for a 1st game (which is why I like playing a tune up game to start the year). Our kicking game is putrid.

I think that we will be sharper on Thurs.

My God, everyone on this board... not just a few, but EVERYONE thinks we dominated and played well, but there were aspects that we sucked at and we better fix them or we're going to get a few disappointments this season.

This isn't the ****ing Hive where you can't talk about our short comings in brutal honesty. We're not the happy ****ing sunshine gang here to do a massive circle jerk why we sweep our problems underneath the rug.

So ****ing deal with it dude, or go play with barbie dolls and stop watching football. This is what men do. We bitch. So shut up. Did you hear PJ's post game conference? He was far more harsh than anyone on this message board about how we played. He said the defense rather sing Kumbuya than hit someone. Did that ****ing hurt your feelings. Should he not have said it?

Dammit can people not point out our shortcomings after a win without a bunch of sissy's getting bent out of shape. Stop axting like a ****ing pussy.
 
Well, I'll throw something out there as well.

The team didn't look too excited or heated up. It's probably because it is an FCS school, and we will be playing on NATIONAL television against Clemson, and it's a white out. They will be ready.
 
PJ is NEVER pleased. He ALWAYS says we can do better. And we always can. But dang you guys, as fans, are harsh!

The anxiety you see all over this board is due to the fact that we play a huge game in 5 days and we are far from ready. CU will run it all night and we may not be able to stop them. Their D is great-- in fact MTSU has -15 yds total rushing right now (at Half).

Yes -- so if our DL does not improve -and we dont win games in shoot-out fashion. We are looking at 6-5.

UNC, FLA ST, VA TECH, CLEM, UGA ALL HAVE TREMENDOUS DEFENSE
