What was your most favorite play of the season?

You know, that's my only gripe about Roddy Jones. He doesn't seem to have the break-away speed that Dwyer has. Or maybe he does, he just hasn't developed it. I recall one of his longer runs during the UGAg game where he got chased down from behind by a safety. Maybe their safety was just faster or Roddy was tired, who's to say. I just think had it been Dwyer with the ball on that play, it would have been taken to the house. I can't remember if we ended up scoring on that drive or not.

FG on that drive. I think that carry will help Roddy in the future. The reason JD doesn't get caught from behind (aside from the blazing speed), is that he doesn't slow down. I think I only saw one long run this year where he pulled up.

Another would be the timeout Johnson called before the FG attempt right before the half at BC. Their kicker misses the re-kick and we get a big road win by 3.

As much as I loved the uga plays, the FSU fumble is probably the biggest. We lose that game that way, we might have hit the skids.

Jefferson (?) knocking Moreno down in that mid-air collision near their goal line.

Or that 10- or 15-yard run (against Duke?) by Dwyer as he headed south at BDS@HGF when he dragged like five or six defenders along with him...

D: I like the Sedric Griffin superman dive over the line to stop Dixon on 3rd and goal.

O: Dwyer running all over the U defense and mashing the secondary face for his long run TD

blocking the potential tying FG vs. Gardner-Webb, which would've sent the game to OT.

We would've lost.

That drive ended up in the FG. And if you watch Jones, he's trying to set up the last defender to get bulldozed by Lucas Cox, who was 40 yards downfield looking for something in red to hit, while one of Georgia's fastest players was closing ground. So Roddy probably put it down a half a gear and that cost him another lengthy TD.
Favorite play? How about Jaybo and BayBay going 80 yards, with Shaw hitting him in stride for a score? Get ready for more of that next year as PJ and in crew put in more of the passing offense that they didn't get to put in this year.
In the words of Erk Russell upon his retirement ... "You ain't seen nuthin' yet." And we haven't from this offense. Trust me.

You know, that's a very salient point. I agree if we don't block that kick, we go on to lose that game. The negative publicity from that would have been immense. Our season would have been 180 degrees different.

BTW, here's another one:

I liked Dwyers first TD at the beginning of the second half in the UGA game. He is so stocky and big, yet really fast. I still find it kind of funny how he just completely out ran everyone. Last year he looked faster since he was thinner, but judging by that run he hasn't lost any of that speed.

Nesbitt's first pass play of the season, I swear I heard gasp of surprise in the stadium.

Dwyer's 88 yd TD run against MSU. I was sitting in the jackets nest and had the same line of sight down the field as Dwyer. The moment he got the pitch I looked down the field and I knew he was going to take it the distance.
I like that one as well---it gave us an inkling that our boys were starting to understand the offense--and that there might be more to come in future.
When you sit down and think about the big plays of this year, there are literally dozens. I also :laugher: liked Lucas Cox up the middle TWICE in the Miami game--a freakin' clinic.

I was just thinking the same thing....some that come to mind.

1) Nesbitt 4th quarter ~30 yard scramble against BC on 3rd and long.
2)Bebe all day long against Duke.
3)Nesbitt 20 yard TD run @ VT then 2 pt pass to Cox to tie the game at 17 in the 4th.
4)Jaybo 25 yard TD run on 4th and 4 vs MSU.
5)Dwyer 35 yard run up the middle on 3rd and 16 that set up TD before half at Clemson.
6)Bebe winning TD catch at Clemson on the pump n go.
7)The FSU, Miami, and UGa had too many big plays to even get started listing them.

What a start to the CPJ era....and we're just scratching the surface!

Diesels 88 yd. TD run--as he crossed the goal line I turned and told my cuz we just witnessed History--we had!!Tech record! Hope he breaks it next year.

Since most of the really key plays have already been named, I'd say my favorite (non-scoring offensive) play (among games that weren't close at the end) of the year was Diesel's 35-yd run early in the Miami game where he destroys Anthony Reddick.

??? I do not get the joke. Am I that ignorant? Or are we talking about Minnesota vs Iowa?

There was a story about a tryst between the married woman and a random fan at the Iowa Game in the bathroom. Both were arrested.
