What's the deal re: Gailey and Dwyer?

This has to be one othe best threads I have seen in a while. Everybody giving good insight without a hidden agenda. Thanks

You really are something you know? The point is, you run inside when the hole is there and you bounce it outside when it's open. I can't imagine the kid from KY just ran outside every play no matter what because if he had he wouldn't have gotten anywhere. But then, you've never really exhibited any knowledge of what you speak of, so why start now?

Well, you completely missed the point. But at least you are consistent. You wouldn't recognize knowledge if it bit you on the arse.

But to get to your point (which has nothing to do with mine or any statement I made) does Dwyer run outside on every play no matter what?

No, he tries to go inside sometimes but he misses his lane more often than not when he does. His average is high, but most of that was on reverses and other stuff to get him into space, and if you look at his body of work it's mostly 10 yards or zero. We need 3ish on those zeros.

Tomorrow would be a wonderful time for him to figure it out. I hope he's salivating at his chance to show his stuff, Chan said we'd go with whoever had the hot hand in his interview today.

I love it, here's what you said, "
Kentucky has a true freshman back that bounces it outside very successfully, but of course he was doing it against slow teams like LSU and Florida. That kid would never play for us. I'm glad Gailey knows so much more about college offense than Coach Brooks does."

But I'm the one who's missing the point? So if you aren't talking about the concerns with bouncing every run outside, the just what the hell are you talking about?

if you o is floundering the coaches need to pull their head out of ther ass and design or build a play around Dwer- toss sweep, reverse, option-- anything to get him in a comfortable situation (outside) damn if he wants to take it there- throw him the freakin ball as a wide out. Run his a** down the chalk

How may yards did this back have against Miss State? USC?

To attack our running game is a real leap.

I'm sure they will. But it can't be every play. That's the whole point here. The coaches have to get the most out of both backs and make sure they have the right guy in for the right play. This is not an either or issue. It's how to use both.

What, you mean like every Dwyer highlight on youtube so far this year?

They already do that, dude, and he already gets in for those plays.

OMGWTF THE COACHES SHOULD PULL THEIR HEADS OUT OF THEIR ASSES AND DO WHAT THEY'RE ALREADY DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111

Well, if there are no holes to run through up-the-middle then where is there to run? Go back and look at Choice's yards. I'd bet a majority of his yards are outside.

I'm not arguing that at all, but Choice chooses when and how and whether to cut back, where as Dwyer simply always cuts back. Yes Dwyer gets some big yardage plays on cutbacks, but he also gets a lot more zeros and 2 yard losses because he lacks the sense of when to cut back, and whether to do it at all.

Tonight would be a great time to figure it all out, because you know he'll probably get half our snaps. Matter of fact, here's my bold prediction: If Dwyer gets 100 yards rushing tonight, we win.

I can only recall a handfull of times when Choice bounced outside and gained significant yardage. He's just not all that fast. Choice excels at finding a small hole and making the most of it.

Choice runs wherever the crease is, and half the time that's outside.

IMO if you only run inside or only run outside then half your runs suck. If you run both equally, and have good vision, then none of your runs suck.
