Did I just turn on the ACC Network and see Maryland and Notre Dame playing lacrosse at Grant Field?
I'm .... perplexed.

Finally raking in that sweet facility rental cash Todd talked about. There were probably 10s of people in the stands.

Woo hoo! It's happening!

Seriously, we probably are/were hosting some sort of invitational tournament. And the ACCN has nothing better to broadcast. It's not like it's BB season or something.

Fancy that... MD actually won a game at Grant Field. When's the last time that happened?

I don't remember why I wasn't at that game, but I watched it from Rocky Mountain Pizza.

East stands were pretty full. Nice day at BDS prior to the basketball game.

My neighbor went and he said the facility and vendors were underprepared. Ran out of food and only had certain sections of UE open (which were packed) and security would not let people spread to next section over.

For events like this, they should wristband folks and allow food truck vendors to park outside the east stands on the street, not much unlike football game day street vendors, just don't block it off with barriers. To get back in, you show your wrist band and go through the medal detectors again, but you are allowed to bring food in. Hell, if you have time, you could even walk over to the Varsity for a to go to take to the stadium.

Of course, what do I know? Every since 9/11, every event has to be treated like it is a high security event. I got "busted" once trying to carry a Snickers bar into the game I bought from a fraternity house fundraising.

It was nice back during the few years when we could bring in food as season ticket holders in the season ticket holder clear bags.

It was a lot nicer decades ago when your date brought in a bourbon flask in her purse.
Well, decades ago, in the 80's, I'd just walk past the ticket takers without a ticket about half the time. Lots of times, we'd just be given tickets by alums and season ticket holders just for showing up to support GT. It was essentially, "hey, let's ride down and watch Tech play Duke/Navy today. It's a nice day"...."but we don't have tickets"......"they don't care"

It was nice when I could bring a handle in under my hoodie before the security people. Always a great time in our block.

I don't think it was the seat cushion game. I think it is one where M Johnson got back to back sacks to finish Maryland in 2006

It was not the seat cushion game. That was in 1996. This one was a Chantastic game where our defense dominated but we couldn’t get any separation because our offense was super conservative.

We blitzed all game long. Even when we should have gone to a prevent, Tenuta kept dialing up rock. Ee probably shortened that QB’s life by a decade.

Slight correction - seat cushion game was in 1995.
