I doubt we get shutout against UGA. They'll be resting people in preparation for the SEC champ game. We'll likely get a late useless TD that Geoff will celebrate cause it means the margin is getting smaller.
They will be resting because we are gonna whip that ass. Sims comes back. We go to the two back set and we go OFF on them.

Please block, OL

If Sims plays, that ruins the "but the QB was hurt" excuse. So it'll be Yates even though we have a 3rd string QB who has been practicing better than ever.

That is what I said about the second half yesterday...

ND was trying to make a statement for whatever playoff chances they might have left. UGA needs no statement.

Were they? They put up 45 with ease in the first half and only 10 in the second, including 0 in the fourth quarter.

I wouldn't be so sure that our goose egg in the second was a result of them trying to make a statement so much as our ineptitude...

Yates should have been pulled mid 3rd yesterday. I know we left him in because our OL was failing to recognize the DT across the LOS actually needed to be blocked and we figured Yates could scramble better than #3.

The game reminded me a lot of the 2004 home game against Miami where their NT and MLB owned the LOS and we were reduced to just letting Reggie keep the ball to see what he could pick up, since he had about a half second before the defense got to him.

Just let me have this last little glimmer of hope.

I'm glad Key is the highest paid assistant on the staff. His work transforming the OL really has been something.

I feel sorry for any QB who has reps behind our Oline at this point. It has been completely unfair to any QB to have to deal w a defensive player arriving as the same time the ball does, I thought that we were getting bigger and stronger under Coach Lew, but apparently that has nothing to do w technique, which falls again on coaching.

Seems the OL got fat and slow, not strong. Seems our DB's probably have good bench press numbers but likely run near 5 second 40's

Technique, recognition, and communication are horrible.
It's amazing to watch the lack of communication compounded by the total confusion as to whom each player should be blocking.
