Inspired by the thread about next year's away games. Anyone have plans to take a weekend road trip to Nashville, Hooville, or Durham?

I'm seriously considering a trip to the Duke game. Obviously, finding a ticket won't be hard, but I've heard the setting around Wallace Wade is one of the prettiest around. Anyone experienced the "experience" that is a Dook home game?

Considering I reside in Knoxville Vandy only makes sense. I'll be at the Duke game as well.

I'm plannin on making the trip to Durham. Even though it's just a single-level blue horseshoe, I kinda like it. Someone on here said it earlier, but I think that without the "Megatron-HD-Vision-o-Matic"s and the banners and the sound systems, that Wallace Wade pretty much just offers a place where you can just sit and watch the game and enjoy the game itself and the people around you. Dookies are pretty nice from my experience. Football isn't the sport they get obnoxious about. Come December though, they turn into full-fledged assholes.

My Dad and I went up to the Bama/Vandy game when I was about 11 years old. We're going again this year to retrace our steps.

If "the Stockyard" steakhouse is half as good as I remember, we'll be in for a pretty sweet trip!

Nashville's an awesome city. I'm in for the Vandy game, got my tickets from Stub Hub.

I can't decide if I want it to be an afternoon game or an evening game... Either way, should be tons of fun!

I'm going to UVa to personally oversee the end to the most vexing streak in GT history.

Enuf is enuf.

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to any away games this year. Best case scenario next year, I'm planning on being at Georgia (again), Clemson, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

Yes. It's like a really nice high school game, I like it a lot. The Duke campus is absolutely beautiful, but the part of town you have to drive through to get there almost makes you feel unsafe. It is pretty bad depending on which way you take.

Where are all the GT fans sitting at the Vandy game? I may get tickets on stubhub.

In '07 I stopped and asked a Duke fan for directions and he led me away from the stadium so I got to see all of that beautiful campus. I found it well before kick off and was pleased that GT more than out numbered Duke fans.

:laugher: That's something that would be infuriating if it was a Georgia fan, but since it's some pathetic Duke piss-ant, it's actually kind of funny. What a little twat.
