- Please Remember to wear WHITE tomorrow, this is national TV, don't make it an embarassment. We are the home of Thursday night football, its our time to shine.

- The team has had a good couple of days of practice, the intensity picked up and they know their season starts tomorrow night. They are ready.

- Injury wise we are sitting good, as you guys know Morgan got a little dinged up but he is good to go. Lyons will be a gametime decision, he is doing well and may be able to go.

- The coaches were not too happy with the 2nd half performance but you have to remember that we played practically everyone. We are still a young team so it was good to get them experience, remember we only have 6 Scholarship Seniors.

- Chris Jackson is excited to be back at GT, you can see it everytime you speak with him. Such a great young man.

- I expect our A-backs to be more involved this week with Roddy coming back, he is excited to get out there. They will continue to use AA in the passing game as he is a legit threat there.

- We have fared well against Freshman QB's in the past so hopefully that continues, Korn is also expected to play.

- Containing Ford and Spiller is obviously the key, we have to take good angles and not over pursue. We won't shy away from kicking to Spiller.

- We must get better production on FG unit and Punting. Our return units graded out well and the Kickoff unit busted thru the wedges to disrupt the return. AT Barnes, Jemea and Julian stood out there.

- The new freshman are excited, they got their first taste and all did fairly well.

- Josh said he feels more confident in the offense, especially passing, the OL has improved pass blocking and he has more time to read the D. The goal is to get more WR's involved this week.

- AA took some reps at B-Back this week while Preston was dinged up with Cox backing up JD. Watson looked good but is still a little dinged up.

- Julian is going to be a beast out there, he is such a good kid and a hard worker. The staff is excited about him.

- Luallen is back but will redshirt

- Same OL starters this week

- Expect to see more of TJ this week, he did well last week and is someone we need badly to produce. Someone else other then Derrick on the DL needs to step up.

- The parking situation is being looked at to find new ways to get people on campus earlier, this weeks times are a disappointment with the lots not opening till 5. YJA starts shortly after that so if you can get there please do try, the players enjoy it and this is a huge game. We will also have recruits on hand that always check out the atmosphere at YJA.

- Tarrant is someone we haven't had out there in a long time, a legit threat to take it to the house each time. He is an exciting player and anyone who watched him in spring practices knew he would do well at PR, he has a knack for it. He also provides a physical corner on D.

- Kyle Jackson is officially out for the year. He is now the teams biggest cheerleader.

- Melton should be back out there soon, possibly 2 weeks. Jaybo is still a couple weeks away from returning, he has been throwing.

- We played 6 true freshman against JSU.

- Still tickets available, we need to get a packed house.

Lets get this done tomorrow night, start the season off right with a nice win and then go take care of Miami. The time is now, GT football is about to take it to a new level. We got the guys who can make it happen and want to leave a legacy. The '07 class has big plans for GT before they leave.

Hope everyone has a safe ride to campus tomorrow! Cheer loud and proud!

GO JACKETS

Nice post, Dem.

Stopping Spiller will be key and I can't wait until he meets the young Mr. Burnett.

Our best hope to win this game is to get a big lead and force them to ditch the run game and force their young QB to beat us with his arm. This plays to our defensive strength, IMO.

I won't be able to make the game, but I've found good solid Tech fans to take my place.

As always, thanks for your insights!

Go Jackets!

Wouldn't it be cool if they painted the entire field white? At night the glare wouldn't be too bad, but during the day it'd be awful.

As if I couldn't get anymore fired up, you proved me wrong Dems. Thanks for posting all of that. I'm flying in tomorrow afternoon to make this game
