Whiz now at Bama

Saban doing him a solid and his son in law is on staff. Most likely his head coaching days are in the rear view, but he isn't quite ready for full retirement

Whether you think he would have beern a good fit for coaching Tech football or not (I think not - but probably not worse than Coach Clown), I get a little sick and tired of Tech alums and so-called fans ööööting all over what he did in Arizona. The Cardinals are a bottom five NFL franchise and he took them to their one and only Super Bowl, and one miracle James Harrison play away from winning it all. As a fellow Tech alum, I was always proud of what he did there. And if you just want to dump on him, then AFAIAC you can go öööö yourself.

Whiz was on a team (Arizona) that sold a couple years after the super bowl and that Titans team is and was a mess.

Huh? What does KW have to do with the Titans? He left there (fired) in 2015 after winning a grand total of 3 games in 2 years. Well after, the Titans went to the AFC championship game in 2020 and were the number 1 seed in the AFC last year.

Not making an argument for KW here, I was glad they didn't hire him when he interviewed last time. But his failures are not the Titans failures, I think Ken is the type of guy who is smart enough to get near the top, but isn't going to be successful as the man in charge. I think he could be a great OC here but even putting his age aside I don't see him ever contending for a P5 head coaching job again.

That’s a 5-year span between his firing and the Titans AFC CG appearance. They just weren’t much good the 2-3 years before, during, and the 2-3 years after his tenure there. Don’t blame that mess on him. Now he didn’t fix it, for sure, but the owner has to give you the tools to do so.
