I see a few level-headed members of StingTalk still supporting our poor, embattled head coach. Although they are fewer and fewer in number, much can be learned from their level-headed perspective. If you are still a supporter of our coach, please let everyone on StingTalk know by quickly identifying this fact at the beginning of every post. This identification can be short and simple, so as not to take up too much space or time.
.
I would suggest the following system for identification:
.
Friend Of Chan = FOC for short
.
Any FOC or FOCer can show his or her support by flashing this simple ID.
.
So come on you FOCers, show that blind loyalty for ol Gailey's sake.
.
You know what they say, "Once a FOCer, always a FOCer".
.
.
BOO

At this point, count me as a "FOC".

The way I see it, there are 3 problems with this current team:
1) Injuries
2) Transition (chemistry)
3) Play calling
4) Lack of talent in certain areas

I expect CG to address numbers 2, 3 and 4 during the off-season and/or the rest of the current season. Hopefully, #1 will just go away and bite some other team for a while.

WUC = wake up, Chan
YAIBB = your ass is being boiled
IGINC = I'm glad I'm not Chan

i'm an FOC too.

what other choice do i have??

i'm not a friend of o'leary who quit to join notre dame.

i'm not a friend of bill o'brien who would've been at notre dame right now had o'leary not tinkered with his blasted resume.

i'm not a friend of macwhorter because he is not the head coach of georgia tech and that is water under the bridge. for good or for bad.

so yes Bobby Dodd's Ghost ... the way you post .. Bobby Dodd is turning in his grave right about now .. I am an FOC!!

Instead of FOC, I like NAA for supporters of the Georgia Tech coach and program, particularly during difficult times. It stands for "Not An A--hole". Some of course don't qualify.

Call me a FOC or just a logical thinker that tries to balance reality with a desire to be #1. Next year is the year to challenge are we FOC's or just F'd.

Bellyseries, I posted this once before. Why do you think some of the posters shorten my board name to ah instead of ahsoisee?

Actually, I am in a FOG (Friend/Foe of Gailey) at present.

ahso, i know you did not ask me, but i have never been one to shy away. I shorten cause I get the vowels mixed up. At 1st, i thought you were Chinese, then I looked more carefully and noticed that if i pronounced every letter, it made sense. Whatever.

I post to belly instead of bellyseries. BTW, what does bellyseries refer to. I know bellyup.

FWIW, FOC? Not as we speak. Will report back in this time next yr.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Ahso, I'm afraid i am too dumb to figure this out.

bizzy, "the belly series" is what they called a type of option play they ran in the Dodd era. The QB stuck the ball in the belly of the fullback as he approached the line, then either gave it to him or didn't, same thing to the HB going off tackle. then he might pitch to the trailing halfback, or run end himself. It was based on deception as well as QB reads and was characteristic of Dodd, the "Sly Fox", who liked to finesse you. It develops too slowly to work today, but it was razzle-dazzle in the '50s. Dodd would also play Big 10, "three yards and a cloud of dust" football when he had the physical edge. I recall hearing either Jack Hurst or Al Ciraldo calling a game in which we ran nothing but FB up the middle from about our 40 to the opponent's end zone.
Thanks for the chance to reminisce.

Bizzybee and Bellyseries, I was just joking. Some of the posters refer to me as "ah" instead of typing out the entire name.

Since Bellyseries was talking about "a-- holes" (ah), I, jokingly, posted some of the board members refered to me as ah (a-- hole).

Actually some of us are better labeled as an
OFOC (Old Friend of Chan)

Then a number of us (more specifically) should be referred to as OFFOC (Old F---- Friend of Chan).

Me, I am one of those:

OFFOC
