Measurables. Most outside of GA think JD is a product of the system. JD would start on any team in the nation. He's got everything you look for in a quality NFL back. Physical skills. Built like a hoss. Intelligent. Has break away speed. Can take it up the gut or to the outside. Great vision. Remember... in 2008 he was a true sophomore.
OK, so you explained why you think he would be a top NFL back but you haven't explained why NFL scouts would all agree.
Are you certain NFL scouts "outside of GA" wouldn't also think he might be a product of the system?
We've had backs in more conventional pro systems with great stats who aren't burning it up in the NFL.
If he has a great season then someone would take a risk despite any concerns about "the system" being responsible for those stats. But I don't think NFL scouts are any less skeptical than anyone else.

It is not unlike the reaction to Texas Tech's stats in the passing game, or the old University of Houston when Ware and Klingler were demolishing passing records.
