OK, so you explained why you think he would be a top NFL back but you haven't explained why NFL scouts would all agree.

Are you certain NFL scouts "outside of GA" wouldn't also think he might be a product of the system?

We've had backs in more conventional pro systems with great stats who aren't burning it up in the NFL.

If he has a great season then someone would take a risk despite any concerns about "the system" being responsible for those stats. But I don't think NFL scouts are any less skeptical than anyone else.

It is not unlike the reaction to Texas Tech's stats in the passing game, or the old University of Houston when Ware and Klingler were demolishing passing records.

Michael Crabtree.... I would HOPE NFL scouts can see past "its the system" arguement.
 
I hope scouts will watch things like the NFL combine, Senior bowls, and schools' pro days instead of thinking about how a system inflated their stats. That may be true but skill is still skill and you can watch it no matter what the system.
 
Burnett and Dwyer may stay and surprise every one of you. I'm hearing this is very possible.

Well, I guess we can dream can't we? It'd be awesome to have Dwyer and Burnett back for senior seasons.

Right now I'd say it's probably 50/50 but as the season wears on (when it finally gets here) and their stock solidifies they might both be tempted to leave.

Not sure if I've heard but what's CPJ's feelings on this kind of thing? For? Against? Advise?

Dwyer is a stud and Burnett is special.
 
I don't remember, could they leave early back in Ken Swilling's day? That would be an example for Burnett that he ought not stick around if he has a solid year.
 
Things I have no inside info for:
1) PJ is staying and will turn Notre Dame down. He's loyal.
2) JD will be gone and should be. He takes a beating out there and backs have a short nfl life. He needs to take the money while he can get it. We'll miss him though.
3) MB is likely gone. He's a rover and has more tackles than anybody, more picks than anybody, and called a td against his rival last year. Badass.

Things I have inside info on:
1) Damarius is annoying. Maybe GTKyle will run him off. Glad to have you back GTK.
 
If Dwyer stays healthy, he may not just be the 1st

back taken in the draft, he could be the no. 1 pick overall...Might not be a better pro prospect in all of college football. Tebow argubably is the best college player in the land, but I think Dwyer may be the best pro prospect among Jr's and Sr's....

I think pro scouts can see Miami and UGA defenders just bouncing off of JD's thighs and then completely outrunning the defensive backfield. I think they can see a freshman who only ran outside and a junior who has been trained to run inside. I think they can see a guy who runs a circle route and makes a good catch over a potential NFL defender. I think, as a part time A back in PJ's offense, they see a kid committed to blocking.

Also, I noticed that Dwyer made the key block on Nesbitt's two point conversion in the Georgie game.
 
1. Burnett (GONE) Best safety in the ACC, top 5 in the nation. Sure fire 1st rounder..
2. Morgan (50-50)
3. Dwyer (His numbers will go down this year but he will still rush for 1000+...returns for SR year)
4. Allen (I can see him putting his name in the hat..)

Agree with except for 3. JD is gone after this year. He will still rush for 1300+ yds. More TDs as I expect the short yardage game to be better with a more experienced OL.
