Who is going to fill these shoes?

I agree with you to a certain point. I think Sylvester is pretty good. He is fast and strong. Jefferson is slow as crap but really strong. He should find a job in the NFl but will probably not play IMO. Burnett is nasty..Even though he is short he plays way bigger and might be our leader for solo tackles.

You are right that Steven Sylvester is pretty good, but you are so far wrong on Jefferson in the pros. His fundamentals suck. Its not that he is slow either. He plays upright and most often times gets completely blocked out of the play because he always allows the opposition to get under his pads. That and he has zero instincts. Burnett is good just not a fit in this system.

Isn't that the same for every team, every year? I mean, it's college football so you lose players every season by design, and the backups have to step up. I don't see this as anything other than the natural order of things. Some of those backups will be better than the guys they replace as they step into bigger roles...it's always that way.

yes, but will they be better NEXT yr?
so we can look forward to a another yr of mediocrity?
well, maybe when we are good we will be better BUT when bad we may be worse, esp with a new QB

+1. Guy gets put on his ass more times than a bangkok slut.

He cost us a TD last week when Ellington got free on that swing pass and Butler had to take him himself because Egbu was too busy trying to get off his ass as the OL that knocked him over like a stack of jenga blocks was already taking out other defenders.

my favorite "air-grabber" is Tarrant- the whiff on that uva Heisman-not candidate TB on his 40 yd jaunt was typical

I said that B. Jefferson will play in the NFL only b/c I saw Mel Kiper had him going in the late rounds of the draft lol...He does seem a little slow though. He added a good bit of weight.

At the very least half of them we should hold open auditions. That's quite a list.

I don't know...do you? That's what college football is all about. If our OL is better, than the team will be better.
