who is losing there starting position?

I honestly think Dwyer may be a top five draft pick whenever he chooses to go out. Very few NFL backs with his size, speed, and power.
This have been biting me for a while, what are the chances for Dwyer to stay 4 years? Assuming he has a post-1000 yard season in 2009.

there versus their

describing a place or location, as in "it is THERE". sometimes the place is abstracted like "there you go" (but you are not going anywhere, really, at least not a real location)

possessive, as in belonging to someone or a group of someones, use THEIR. "It is THEIRS to lose"

use both in a sentence at the same time:

"Who there at Rose Bowl Field will be losing their position based on their performances during Spring Practice?"

Obviously, "our cup runneth over" on offense.

What's going to happen with our kicking game? If that doesn't improve, it could be our Achille's heel in an otherwise memorable year. I've not heard any rumors about a solution to our biggest weakness.

Something tells me he's gone after next year, just a hunch.

Sadly I tend to agree.

Running backs have a limited amount of time in the pros, so if you've proven everything you can at the college level he'll go. Especially if he's a first round pick.

Unless he feels we can win a NC in 2010 with his help...of course :)

Can Cox play offensive tackle?

If no one steps up at WR opposite Thomas, he may end up there. Actually, that may be an idea. He has good hands. He would be a tough matchup for a cb. And, when he gets called for a crackback, it would be legit as opposed to last year.

I disagree.

Our results when Dwyer got 10 or less carries in a game were bad. Real bad.

I'm not sure you can make that blanket statement. He went 9 carries for 141 yards against Miss St., and 10 for 128 against Miami. His worst game was VT (10 for 28), so you're right on there. LSU was obviously bad for the team, but Dwyer did OK (10 for 67). In the regular season, our UVA and UNC losses, Dwyer went 17 for 70 and 22 for 157. Against FSU, he went 13 for 145. Another way to look at it is 2-2 with 10 carries or less, and 7-2 with more, so you can at least make an argument. I can agree that we like to see Dwyer carrying the ball! However, it would be nice to not see him getting killed inside all the time either. His snap count will go down, and his touches may go down a little bit, but I bet he runs better because of it.

I think it isn't as much that Dwyer will touch the ball less but might not always be around on the field to touch it, so to speak. The main problem for Dywer last year was even when he didn't get the ball he was going in the middle and getting tackled by someone. Example is FSU, he touched the ball 13 times but was on for soooo many more snaps. With next year, if Dwyer is getting less touches it won't always be because he was on the field and didn't get the ball like last year, so I see it being less of a problem.

I think Voss and Cord Howard are in the most danger on offense along with Melton losing out to Sims/Hill. Voss not playing this spring gives McRae a lot of time with the first team, and Voss actually looks to have gained some excess weight during the offseason.
Howard got 2nd team All-ACC, but he wasn't effective downfield last year. I think Uzzi steals his spot.
Defense,
Butler and AT wouldn't suprise me. Sylvester starting out with the first team tells me a lot. I still think AT would be a fantastic rush end, but I don't think he has the instincts of a linebacker. Butler looks like the perfect nickel-back, but I would rather have Reese and Coop on the field together.

He could catch passes from the Offensive Tackle position. :)

Me too.

It's basically the same thing we ran with Chris Reis.

I really think Anthony Allen is going to start. It would appear that he is going to take Lucas cox starting position.

I could see Roddy Jones getting less snaps next year. We have Embry Peeples and Marcus Wright who are both going to be fighting to see the field. Then we will have Dwyer taking some snaps at A back.

seems like Uzzi can beat out one of the returning OL.

Steven Sylvester is my pick to start with Brad Jefferson and Sedric Griffin. That would mean Jackson is losing his spot.

Jerrad Tarrant is going to take someones spot at DB. I would think Mario Butler.

Let's hear what you think.
Let me get this straight---and believe me I am not disputing your observation--a young man runs for 214 yards--say it aloud TWO HUNDRED FOURTEEN YARDS-, 2 TD, the game winning score, and is instrumental in breaking the longest losing streak against your hated in-state rival and can't keep his job? Maybe he can return kicks.

you just cant read well. he said he would get "less snaps" and that Lucas Cox would lose his starting spot.
