Worst case:
M. Burnett = Stays
D. Morgan = Leaves
J. Dwyer = Leaves
D. Thomas = Leaves
Thomas looks like the #2 or #3 receiver in the draft (Julio Jones and AJ Green are not eligible). I can see Dez Bryant and maybe Golden Tate in front of him.
Dwyer can be the #2 RB in the draft behind Best if the NFL scouts look at his ability and not his 2009 stats. If they focus on his 2009 stats he will be like 4th.
Morgan could be a fringe second rounder, but probably third.
Burnett is small and will probably stay.
Its within the realm of possibility that they all come back if they see a National Championship on the table for 2010 but that involves winning the ACC and the orange bowl this season.
But that rookie salary cap is gonna kill us...
He's still 3rd in yards and first in ypc in the ACC this year....
I don't think anyone leaves, except maybe Dwyer, and that will only depend on how much Mel Kiper and his greasy hair like him. Thomas has had one (1) good game, and he's now the #1 WR in the draft? Both Morgan and Morgan would do better to stay a year and raise their stocks. I'm not worried.

I'm just being honest and not looking at life through my lovely old gold-colored glasses. Nobody is talking about Thomas as a draft pick. Unless the ESPN-led media machine gets behind him, he won't be a first rounder, and probably not a second rounder.Who's better than Thomas? AJ Green and Julio Jones are not eligible. That leaves Dez Bryant, Brandon LaFell and Golden Tate IMO. Bryant just got declared ineligible for the season and that might hurt him. I think Thomas can fall in at #2 in this group.

Interesting because that's exactly where Kiper gets his information from (NFL Scouts, that is). I realize scouts pass along some misinformation to him but Kiper is very much tied in with scouts from every team and his rankings are based upon direct information from them.I agree with some of your sentiment, but this isn't college recruiting (coaches looking at stars). NFL scouts couldn't give two ****s about what ESPN says. If Thomas is good enough in the scouts' eyes (and does well at the combine), he can get drafted high regardless of where Mel Kiper has him.
I still think they'll all stay. Dwyer was my biggest worry, since he had a stellar season last year, but now that defenses are keying into him, unless he starts having 200 yard games, then I have a feeling he'll be staying here. I never really thought that he would leave anyways... seems like I remember an interview where he said that the #1 reason for choosing GT was for the diploma... smart kid!
Yea I think CJ said the same thing too though...
Yea I think CJ said the same thing too though.....I would LOVE another year of JD and Nesbitt and surrounding cast all back, but I don't think it will happen.
Exactly. Kiper is the mouth piece of the consensus insanity that is the draft. If Kiper starts talking about him, it's because scouts are looking at him, not because of Kiper's unhealthy facination with the hips and hands of young, nubile college-aged boys.Interesting because that's exactly where Kiper gets his information from (NFL Scouts, that is). Ummmm...none of these guys are CJ. He was the best player on the field in EVERY college game he played in. He is a perfect example of what it takes to be drafted as an underclassman.
I think any of the four listed could be drafted as an underclassmen...drafted in the top 5? That's where you see CJ on a different level.
I think JD could go 1st or 2nd round. BayBay could go 2nd-3rd..and the morgans could go 5-7 IMO.
Now if the morgans don't like the idea of 5-7 they'll come back, and I think that Burnett definitely will, just to let Berry get out of the way. Derrick will probably come back too.
BayBay I think (all my personal opinion) will return. I think JD goes though. :(
