Jaybo or tevin? I think tevin will win the battle for the number 2. He is the fastest qb and great at running the option. His passing has also improved.

Disagree.
I hear that Jaybo has bulked up this winter and will start out at number 2. I hope you are right about the passing though. Tevin is a great athlete, and I wouldn't be suprised if it happens. I just wouldn't put money on it.

You're crazy.

Jaybo has bulked up and will be much better IMO.
He will be the solid #2.

I had been wondering how Shaw would do when I found out about how true freshman didn't undergo full conditioning.

gtland03 if you seen any of the practices last year you know Tevin is the fastest QB we have. His passing has improved a lot too. New release point helped him a lot.

Anyone who thinks they're doing more than guessing is the crazy one. Until PJ sees them live, everyone is equal.

I really hope Tevin has gotten better. I want to see what that kid has. I know he is fast but his passing was some of the worst I have ever seen at any level last year in the Spring.

Sidebar: Just realized I have crossed the 1,000 post mark!!! I was a Jolly Good Fellow forever.

What makes you think Tevin's passing has improved so much? Just curious where you heard it.

My cousin is a walk on at GT. Said he got a great deal better during the year.

This doesn't mean he'll be #2 or whatever, but Coach Johnson singled Tevin out when speaking to everyone signing day morning as being someone he's excited about. He was sure high on the young man.

I hope Tevin is improved. It would be nice to redshirt Sims and Luallen.

I've been hearing rumors that the coaching staff is impressed with Tevin Washington and is not thinking of moving him away from the QB position, which tells me he must be pretty good.

Here's a question: who will be the number ONE qb? Nesbitt gave us the best chance to win in every game last year, but is he still our best option? With his feet, he can win most games, but has his arm improved? I'm not talking about throwing power, I'm talking about accuracy. If CPJ is really to install a run and shoot game, is Nesbitt the best fit for that system?

Who has a better arm than Nesbitt? And don't say Jaybo

Personally, I don't know. Jaybo may be a better passer. I know he doesn't have a stronger arm, but he may be more accurate. Some are saying Tevin's passing has improved. How much? Has he passed (no pun intended) Nesbitt as a better passer?

I didn't have anyone in mind when I made my post. I still don't. I just hope that Nesbitt's passing has improved A LOT since last season.

Honestly, I don't think Jaybo is very accurate...at least not significantly more accurate than Nesbitt.

My guess is that if Jaybo does in fact bulk up, he's got a better shot at being #2. From what I gather, it sounds as if the depth chart has no one penciled in for any spot and that every position is up for grabs. I think Jaybo may have had some advantages last year as far as knowledge of the system, but i think this year that advantage has evaporated due to everyone having more time in this system. I honestly don't care who wins what position as long as we're putting our best guy on the field.

in fall tevin didn't look like a legit high school passing QB nevermind NCAA. His throwing form, power and accuracy were all horrible. And that is not an understatement.

To him to just get to the level of Jaybo...he would have to improve 3 fold.

He runs the option well was getting better in fall and you could see progress. He is more athletic than Jaybo, but to me not as fast nor as athletic as josh.

I can't wait to see him in spring to see what kind of progress he may have made....

i suspect nesbitt will be the guy for this year with jaybo and tevin coming in on certain situations primarily having tevin as the number 2 guy. IMO both incoming qbs will be redshirted which will be huge for us cause they will learn the system, get bigger, and improve on areas they need to much like tevin was able to do. i have class with tevin and he looks pretty solid. i cant wait to see what he can do during spring. ultimately i think jaybos playing time will be reduced from here on. i hate it but even if he has bulked up i dont think he has the size.
