And the answer Is..... Whoever runs the offense better!
If our pass blocking improves, Josh will show you what he can do throwing the ball. If it doesn't, you can forget the passing game, regardless of who is throwing the rock.
You guys are crazy that think Jaybo is a better passer. Many of Josh's "inaccurate" passes were plays that Jaybo would have been sacked on.
It is hard to say, but your point really doesn't refute the idea.
We have one game with Jaybo where we know he was accurate "enough" to exploit a team that sold out on the pass.
Josh missed quite a few open receivers downfield, either not seeing them or not getting them the ball.
It is somewhat of a moot point as Jaybo wasn't exactly Joe Montana either. But he was able to get it close enough to wide open receivers.
And yes, QB accuracy is not an issue if they don't have time to throw.
I see where you're coming from, but if you go back and watch the Duke game you will see that only "1" of the 9 completions was thrown "downfield". The other 8 competions were hitches or screens. The "1" downfield pass was a duck thrown into double coverage that Bebe made a Calvin type catch (defenders fell down) and Bebe took it to the house. I would not say Jaybo is a better passer based on the Duke game.
Lonestar, you can't honestly tell you would have rather had Jaybo in the game in passing situations at anytime during the season when Josh was healthy. There's no way you can honestly say that.
++I'm sticking with Tevin.
Nesbitt and Washington looked like the best QB's on Friday and Saturday, FWIW. They both made lots of plays.
That's my biggest concern about Jaybo. He dropped lots of snaps last year as well.This was somewhat due to the botched snaps that occurred with him, which doesn't necessarily mean he isn't the better QB (than Washington). However it is an issue that he will have to deal with and could bust him down to 3rd string.

I'm thrilled that there is even a battle for #2!
Tevin looked rough in summer last year.
Its so refreshing to see that our staff can develop a QB!
I'll wait until I see a live practice in pads. Was Tevin going against the third team D? Was he playing with the third team O?
If he does beat Jaybo, then we'll have a helluva backup on our hands.
