Who would we want to play in the Orange Bowl?

An interesting question that just occurred to me.
For my part I might like to see someone outside the Big East, but since Pac-10 teams don't cross the Mississippi and Big 10 teams must be kept closest to home to boost revenue, we probably can only hope to get the loser of Texas/OU assuming that the winning isn't heading to the title game.

Otherwise, I pick WVU because they are the only team in that league that anyone respects but a big reason they got that respect and won those games is no longer there (ie Pat White).

I read this title as "Who would want to play in the Orange Bowl?" Which is actually a very valid question.

Seriously. Did you all see the attendance last year? Tickets were going for $1 on the online auction sites. Pathetic.

I think it'd jump for the ACC team simply because that ACC team is no longer F#$@*%& VPI.

The Orange Bowl probably isn't gonna to be saddled with the Big East champ this year, because they have the first at-large pick after the automatic bids and the two title game replacement choices.

With two bowls picking after the Orange, they can leave the Sugar and Fiesta holding the bag with the Big East champ (likely Rutgers) and this year's BCS buster, if any.

My money for the ACC's Orange Bowl opponent would be on the second Big Ten team.

We'll be an at-large bid into the Sugar Bowl.

I actually think that is not all that unlikely.

If we can finally get back to the Orange Bowl, I'll play anybody they find.

i seriously doubt we make the sugar bowl as an at large. my bet is on south florida in the orange bowl

Did I say that?

I think that neither the defense nor OL is ready yet.

As a fellow realist, I believe GT has just as much a chance of winning the ACC as anybody. I pick them to win. We've got a tough schedule, but we can beat everybody on it if we play well.

We have a better chance of winning the ACC than Duke, Boston College, and Virginia.
