Why all the love for Mills?

Fwiw, CPJ said in the post game presser "I don't think Dedrick fumbled the ball the entire camp"

Marshall isn't blocking as well as he needs to to deserve the majority of the snaps. Lots of potential there though, will be great once the light comes on

Just finished listening to the entire CPJ post game press conference. He said that he wanted to get the ball in Mills' hands on that td play because he knows he will be a great player. And Dedrick said in the huddle before that play "get it to me, I'll get it in".

You don't hear CPJ say that about too many kids....

Mills had several tough runs on that last drive..not just the TD. He just looks different than anyone else when he runs..must be no fun to tackle.

star this thread and come back in 2 months, you'll see why

mills already reminds me of marshawn lynch: a raw feisty ööööer nobody wants to tackle

I would have like to have seen Marshall more. 18 carries for Mills, just 9 for Marshall.

I like MM but maybe an example of how Marshall doesn't get it done was on a JT scramble with MM in front leading, MM only had to engage ONE guy and JT would go for 1st down,he FAILED miserably

And it's been a pretty dry summer in ATL for the most part and it was anything but today. In retrospect the ball control was actually pretty good.

Maybe because he scored the game winning touchdown in a comeback victory of an acc opening week matchup played over seas?

I don't want to be hard on previous players, but does anybody think senior transfer Skov would have had the vision to score that go ahead TD?

Mills needs to work on ball security. Only had one fumble, but on subsequent plays, he was still carrying the ball one handed away from his body and exposing the ball for a possible strip.
