Why did Miami's loss push Tech out of Top 25?

One game? Did you not see the Clemson game? We were terrible in BOTH games we played in, BOTH of which most pollsters got to see since we were the only game on. We had our one bad day with Clemson where we got a pass and didn't drop any(remember U[sic]GA dropped on their bad day but win, because they already had a loss), then we had another one with Miami.

Why is it that you think we were soooo terrible? You seem to never give credit to what the other team is doing. At the end of the day, your so called terrible WON.

We never dominated the Clemson game regardless of what the scoreboard said.

You seem to point a lot of the blame toward how we played instead of giving credit to Clemson. they're a good team, quite frankly they're may be better than us. They're loaded with top calibre talent out of HS, and get quite a few BETTER HS talent than we do and that's why they've got awesome athletes coming in every direction or out of their @$$

Us on the otherhand with the exception of a select few, are making great strides with the mid to lower high level talent (2.5 to 4 star talent) that we're landing and turning them into top calibre athletes and teams

Have you watched USC-w this year? They haven't looked fantastic in their wins either.

LSU is irrelevant for ranking because we were ranked 14 after that loss. The ranking already considered that loss. JSU was a tune-up so that could only hurt but not help. Clemson and Miami are our basis of comparison.

The bottom line is that if we suck so bad then Miami shouldn't have skyrocketed for beating us. And if Miami is so great then we shouldn't have dropped so far for losing to them on their home field.

Several teams are ranked with worse losses than ours. You can rationalize they also have better wins, but we really don't know how good or bad the wins or losses are relatively at this point. They got the benefit of the doubt; we didn't.

It will be interesting to see if the loser of the Miami-Virginia Tech plays badly or lose by double digits, how far will that team drop in the polls the following week.

Even though Tech doesn't get the same 'respect' as other traditional teams in the polls, the fact is the Georgia Tech football program is no stranger to the Top 25 or even the Top 15...Houston got ranked for the first time since 1991.

And if the perception that Tech is a bad team or not worthy of the Top 25 then Miami shouldn't not have gotten that significant bounce in the polls for this particular week.

At least this year we managed to win a game (Clemson) while ranked.

If we can go 3-0 in the next three games, we should have a good chance to make some noise in the division.
