Why did Ugag jump higher than us?

I think it comes down to TV time. Where were the highlights on SportsCenter / College Gameday Final? Hint: they were either a score report or nothing at all. Pollsters probably saw the final score, not the box score, and voted based on that. Plus we get no respect.
The only highlight from our game was of the "completed pass" by highsmith, and it was a top ten catch.

 We as GT fans have serious inferiority complexes with regards to the media. Georgia didn't jump three spots because they won or get more respect...they jumped three spots because three teams ranked closely beneath them lost. We didn't only jump one spot because we don't get respect...we only jumped one spot because only one team ranked closely beneath us lost.

The only way to move up in the polls after the first couple games of the season is to have teams right beneath you lose or to pull off victories against top 10 teams. Neither us nor Georgia did that...so our improvements in the polls was exactly the same as the number of teams beneath us that lost. We didn't jump any winning teams.

We were 26th and 27th in the polls. After we demolished a ranked unc, we jumped to a whopping 25th and 26th. Meanwhile, ugag jumped from 21st to 18th and from 17th to 14th after squeaking by a weak Az St.

Rankings are bs. I wouldn't be as upset but for the outside chance they come into play in a tie-breaking situation to go to the ACC title game.

Why not?

Miami? 1/2 game blahs against Clemson?

Who cares?

(1) It's too early for polls to make much of a difference.

(2) I would submit we control our own destiny with regards to position in the polls toward the end of the season.

(3) I would also submit that the winner at Grant Field the last Saturday in November will finish the regular season with the higher ranking.
