Why didn't Dodd play in MS?

Title says it all.
The SEC commissioner asked Dodd that very same question with Johnny Vaught listening in. Dodd's reply was: "No offense to you Johnny, but I can make more money playing Girls High at Grant Field than playing home and home in Missisippi." For the youngsters: Atlanta in the late 1940s had basically 4 high schools: Boys High, Tech High, Commercial and Girls High which, of course, was all girls. In essence, it was all about money.
