Why must we always look for someone to blame?

It's all my parents' fault for forcing me to WORK for my spending money. And to just think, if that had been today, I could have sued for child abuse. No sir, just ain't no justice in this world.
Yessir, you can blame my parents !!

There's quite a disagreement around here about what a 'fan' is, and whether it's indeed the fan's job to "always look for someone to blame."
Oh, that's just great. Now you are blaming us for not being able to agree on who to blame.

:D

Stating that a disagreement exists is not the same as assigning blame for the disagreement, any more than stating "we lost a game" is assigning blame for the loss.

Were I to assign blame for disagreement on Stingtalk, I'd probably start by pointing the finger at everyone who doesn't agree with me. Seems like a good place to start, anyway.

I agree...

No one, no one, no one ever...is to blame.

And furthermore, why am I always getting hassled by the man?

It is, without a doubt, Bennett's fault for being left handed and making the ball spin the wrong way.

Although Chan probably forced him to throw left handed, he's actually a righty.

I usually blame JTS for his lack of proficient SWAGGER preperation. He always SWAGGERS "not-to-lose."

Yes we can, and yes we have. When Bill Curry was winning only 2 games in two f'ing years and only 11 in his first four seasons I don't recall anybody blaming him. BECAUSE progress could be seen, and because he was Tech thru and thru, and because there was an acknowledgement of how Pepper had hurt the program. --And probably because there were no sports boards to rant and rave on--:-)

But seriously, criticism is part of being a fan, do you not agree. I know you would enjoy this season more if we win four more games than if we lose all four. If this team--no, if any of Chan's teams were as bereft of talent as Curry's first teams were we wouldn't be calling for his head. But he has succeeded in making chicken caca out of chicken salad.
I have maintained for years in a David Braine-ish kind of way that Tech fans had to look for their football fix from the occasional big win rather than a sustained run of excellence season in and season out. I admit Chan has gotten us so close to being solid that I honestly believe we can compete at a high level once again--with better leadership.
