Why not try to punch it in at the end?

The only TD came off of a blocked punt, which means that O really had not sustained a drive, which ended in a TD. I just think it would have helped the O to let them attempt to punch it in.

But my point is that the game was over and the points were meaningless. Scoring a TD then wouldn't have proven anything and the O would have known it. Besides, we play Clemson every year...why rub their noses in a loss? That really is a no class move.

There was no point in going after a TD. Taking a knee was the right thing, most coaches in America would of done the same exact thing, probably about 95% actually.

Well, I do remember getting punched by my friends when I tried to take a knee in Madden. I guess Chan should have gone for a TD to abide by the laws of football video games.

That would mean we should just never punt either. Madden Rules:biggthumpup:

That wouldn't be rubbing it in too much imo; now Navy '01, that was rubbing it in.
Just would like to see the O regain confidence and score more than 7 points in a conference game.

Taking a knee in the red zone is "Pussy Ball", which is something we seem to have a penchant for.

Anyways, good job on the W guys! Keep it going!

Its called good sportsmanship. Making another TD gains you nothing, not even a highlight on sportscenter.

Impossible to lose by taking a knee; next-to-impossible to lose when winning by 10. Which you you prefer, a guaranteed win or a very likely win? Plus add in the lack of class that would show along with the potential for injury and there is no way you try to run up the score like that.
