I heard on the radio that TC could get the ball 20-30 times. Why ? Why risk anything on a lost season, for a lame duck coach, in a road game, against a lowly Dook team, that doesn't give a **** nickel if their football team wins another game.

I have to think it's all a ruse. Get healthy, get to the combine in good health.

Relax...deep breath....Tashard wants that many carries...lame duck coach already alluded to the fact that he wont get that.

hell, tashard wanted to play against vt.

I'd just like to think somebody has his interests in mind somewhere on this staff. A Dook game in the middle of a worthless season means very little in the picture of his football 'career'. He may not end up being Walter Payton, but I'd wager he will get some serious looks.

If anything, get healthy to try and crap in UGA's punch bowl.

I get the impression that people are thinking his injury and subsequent procedure were of a nature that he's at a higher risk of further injury because of it.

Actually, the only inherently-higher risk he faces is from having discomfort to the point where he 'favors' the knee, thus increasing injury from compensating for it.

If Dr X and the training staff clear him and he's honestly feeling 90-100% on it, he's good to go.

1) He wants to win. 2) He's the captain. 3) Captains lead their team.

Why risk anything on a lost season,
Season is not lost as of today. In fact the season will only be lost if we lose 2 of the next 3 and one of those is UGA.

for a lame duck coach,
Sorry, not lame duck. Hot seat ... yes. Lame duck? Nope, not as of today.

Its a conference game. We need to bounce back, get the win and finish this season strong.

TC is playing because he wants to win and because this is his team. TC is not about TC (and never has been, something some people will never understand).

What do you think looks better for an NFL scout? A) Come back 2 weeks after a scope and run for 175 on 28 carries, lead your team to 3 straight wins to close the season, or B) Sit out and take it easy for the combine, never showing if your knee is healthy.

N.F.L. = Not For Long. They have no time for guys that aren't ready to give their bodies to win. They'll just find someone else who will.

I hope he does carry 30+ times because the more he carries the more likely we are to win. We lost to UVA, MD, and VT without TC.

I don't think any NFL scout views yardage versus Dook as any great barometer of success. Hopefully there is no risk of injury for the poor guy in a vain attempt to save Gailey's job. I'd rather he rest and be 100% for the only game left that matters this year.

Nedleeds, have you ever played football? Do you know any scouts in the NFL?

You show your selfishness by only wanting TC to play against the nad lickers instead of finishing out his career the next 3 weeks and hopefully a bowl.

He's not doing this to save gailey's job, he's doing because he is a competitor and a winner and he loves GEORGIA TECH!

Dwyer is more than capable of carrying the load against DUKE!

What did he average againt VT...6 yards per carry on a whopping 10 carries? I still don't get our refusal to give the kid the rock!

No. Just baseball and basketball. Not sure what that has to do with anything on a message board.

Not really, I just feel like this game against Dook is meaningless. You show your selfishness by asking a dude 2 1/2 weeks out of surgery to play in a meaningless game for your amusement.

That's fine I guess, I just hope he is getting the right advice from people who have his well being in mind, and not people with other agendas.

You know all about agendas, don't you ned?

Give me one--just one--piece of proof that any member of the GT coaching staff or administration is trying to coerce an unwilling player to play beyond his limitations.

Hell, give me one--just one--piece of proof that the coaching staff isn't trying to "sit on" TC to keep HIS desire and drive from overruling THEIR common sense.

Shame on you. Your insinuations are a new low.

Who needs proof when there are agendas to be pushed? That's never stopped needles before...Mike

Right. I'll fire up that eternal damnation any day now. In the meantime back in reality, we have a guy who had surgery on his knee on the 23rd and isn't even resting a month. The specifics of his injury were never released, which is shady. He is going to play following an embarrassing blow out national TV loss that has the coaching change rumor mills blazing with Gailey being fired. It's all shady. People more in the know then me are wondering WTF.

Give this kid some time to rest, play Dwyer and try to beat a team you are more talented without additional risk to a player who has an NFL future.

Right. Because playing football 3 weeks after knee surgery is normal. What's your agenda ? Typical rah-rah the season isn't over, win one for the gipper bull****.

I think you're the one who's shady with the lame character attacks.

Why don't you have some balls and come out and say what you want: that Chan is a selfish bastard if Tashard Choice plays.

Why don't you gather up all of these worried people in the know and file an injunction to prevent Chan from putting him through the meat grinder this weekend? If you're so concerned do something besides posting lame, false, and ill conceived theories on an internet message board. After all you know more than TC's doctors and trainers, right?

The reality is you could care less about TC and his NFL prospects. You could care less about GT's football team, really. All you care about is beating Georgia so you feel superior in your own pathetic way for 354 days. You want to hold TC out until that game so he can't get hurt before then, we get it. If you feel that way, why stop there? Sit Wheeler, Robo, Cox, Guyton, Johnson, etc etc. Fvckin don't even show up for Duke and Carolina, because the season's over, right?

The mentality of a loser.

Why is it you think you should know everything that happens down at the AA, what right do you or for that matter do WE have to know what's going on. Ever heard of HIPPA?

And by the way I have played with many guys who have had surgery on Monday to comeback in less than two weeks. Modernized medicine, GO FIGURE!
