Why Tashard Why !??!!

No. Just baseball and basketball. Not sure what that has to do with anything on a message board.

Different mentality for all 3 sports, I know I played all three.

Not really, I just feel like this game against Dook is meaningless. You show your selfishness by asking a dude 2 1/2 weeks out of surgery to play in a meaningless game for your amusement.

As said before the guys a competitor and it might be meaningless to you but not to TC.

That's fine I guess, I just hope he is getting the right advice from people who have his well being in mind, and not people with other agendas.

That would be Dr.'s and the coaches and I'm sure they know a helluva lot more about this situation than you and I.

Right. I'll fire up that eternal damnation any day now. In the meantime back in reality, we have a guy who had surgery on his knee on the 23rd and isn't even resting a month. The specifics of his injury were never released, which is shady. He is going to play following an embarrassing blow out national TV loss that has the coaching change rumor mills blazing with Gailey being fired. It's all shady. People more in the know then me are wondering WTF.

Give this kid some time to rest, play Dwyer and try to beat a team you are more talented without additional risk to a player who has an NFL future.

Pretty stupid to post a blog from Oct 23 to try to defend your comments today nedleeds. At that point in time no one had any idea what the situation was with TCs knee. The specifics weren't released because it's none of our business, not because it's shady. If he's been cleared medically it means there is no additional risk of injury due to the surgery. Guys get hurt all the time, so no one is home free, but the docs evidently feel he's ready to go. So why not let him play? If Chan was holding him out, you would be complaining about that.

You could care less about GT's football team, really. All you care about is beating Georgia so you feel superior in your own pathetic way for 354 days.

Sure. I don't really care about a losing season with only one significant goal left. I care about more then beating Georgia, but honestly don't even really care too much about that anymore -- basketball is here and that should be exciting. I feel superior every time I file my W2 for the year and don't need a football game. But what in your high and mighty rah rah opinion is left to play for this year ?

You want to hold TC out until that game so he can't get hurt before then, we get it. If you feel that way, why stop there? Sit Wheeler, Robo, Cox, Guyton, Johnson, etc etc. Fvckin don't even show up for Duke and Carolina, because the season's over, right?

Exactly ! These 2 games will go down as wins (maybe) and you and people like you will ramble on about how significant they were when they didn't mean ****. And Chan jockers will talk about how he rallied the team after a tough showing on Thursday night. If those guys had injuries I'd sit them out also.

The mentality of a loser.

The insane ramblings of somebody who can't see the forest from the trees.

Chan is a selfish bastard if Tashard Choice plays. If he wasn't on the hot seat and if we had beaten Virginia Tech Tashard Choice isn't playing this week. Period.

Okay. What if Tashard truly is healthy? Those two games move from maybe to most likely and he is at full game speed for our last regular season game, which improves our chances. That would all but guarantee that we get that important month of practice that is awarded to teams going to a bowl, which is VERY important for next season, no matter who is coaching.

Nedleeds, have you ever played football? Do you know any scouts in the NFL?

You show your selfishness by only wanting TC to play against the nad lickers instead of finishing out his career the next 3 weeks and hopefully a bowl.

How is he being selfish? He's looking out for the kid's best interest.

If you mean CG, then yes...you're right.

If you mean needless, how can he possibly be looking out for TC when he obviously doesn't know the first thing about the actual nature of the injury, the procedure, or his rehab?

needless is clueless.

Right. Because playing football 3 weeks after knee surgery is normal. What's your agenda ? Typical rah-rah the season isn't over, win one for the gipper bull****.

Not quite, but I do know when I had my elbow scoped, I was playing golf in two weeks pain free.

But don't let ignorance of modern medicine or the extent of TC's injury get in the way of your agenda...Mike

Hahahahha ... golf versus football. Jesus. OK you win.

I don't mean to pile on, but if you do a little research many athletes come back from arthroscopic surgery within two weeks. (This is what TC had, although they're not releasing the specifics.)

I think this is more about leadership than a projection of how much TC will play... he's trying to show his teammates that the season might be disappointing but it certainly is not over. He's telling them, "I worked my ass off to get back on the field against Duke, of all teams, so you guys better man up because I'm not ending my college career with a sub-.500, no bowl game season."

I think TC will start, give the team a boost, and JD will take over after halftime.

nedleeds, in order to prevent...

the further erossion of IQ points caused by reading your posts, I say buh-bye.

:ugh:

Good call. I haven't showered at the gym in a while.
