You cannot break from the NCAA for money reasons and then hold to the same rules that block them from spending more money. It's a complete contradiction. They will absolutely relax everything related to amateurism if it happens.

Agree. Breaking away from the NCAA would be a death knell for GT. The whole idea of paying players and further reducing academic standard completely defeats the purpose of and destroys the purity of amateur college athletics. The P5 would be the equivalent of minor league baseball to the NFL.

This has already been going on since the 80’s (at least) in collegiate athletics. There isn’t much purity in collegiate revenue sports.
