Why We'll Be Better, But With Proof This Time

Hah, I still remember watching the Clemson game and wonder how the hell J Dwyer manages to get up every after he's tackled on every damn play. I mean I could hear the hits watching it on TV. That's an example of the effects of our conditioning program. Nesbitt clobbering Miami on a bum ankle comes to mind as well, but that is probably a bit more him than the conditioning.

Our conditioning program took a major step up when Ciano got here. His "football" strength program has made major improvements to our team the past 4 or so years. Before that, our players always wore out towards the end of games.

His only drawback is I think he bulks up our basketball players a little too much. But I don't watch to much BB.

I think Hewitt is asking for the bulked up players though. He seems to like to like the big tough ones.

we don't have basketball players...

we have student-athletes who happen to be on the basketball team. A subtle difference in semantics but a major difference on the floor (see Duke-Gt as a reference between BB players and athletes). Sorry to hijack the thread but felt compelled to reply.

Strength and conditioning will be the focus in the off season.

We will be BEASTLY next year.
