after this latest incident with a coach driving a player's stolen motorcycle (vin# scratched off) I think it at least 50/50 BB will not make it through the end of the season.

The fact that BB is doing the media circuit ripping the NCAA is getting old FAST for F$U grads.


When you think about it this is all sad. Great career couple of nat championships and nobody has the balls to protect this guy from himself.
 
He'll make it through the year, but he will "resign" at the season’s conclusion.

He'll give everyone a big speech that will make you think about FSU’s heyday, etc.

We won't fall for it. Everyone will know that he was forced out, but nobody will care once the ball is kicked in 2010.

He'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame and Paterno will own the record.
 
I got 50 bucks says this is the Bowdon's last smoke. They'll probably keep paying his salary anyway. Why shouldn't he quit?
 
So are these recent problems linked to Bowden...or are they actually Jimbo's? Is this a big "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" show? Bowden may be gone after this year; but I don't think it will change that much at FSU.

If either the school or Bowden had a smidgen of integrity, there'd be a new coach in Tallahassee
 
Bowden's problem is the NCAA appeal and all the NEGATIVE media attention he is bringing to the university by continually attacking the NCAA.

Even the pres (big BB supporter) is stepping down. It seems the sentiment is just to MOVE ON.

If F$U was beating UF and winning the ACC they would not care about the NCAA or the arrests, but if you ain't winning and you still cheating then that is unacceptable.

The other problem is it is difficult to actually judge Jimbo while BB is still hanging around.
 
There's a lot to be said for stepping down while you still 'got it.'

They actually made a contract with Jimbo for HC-in-waiting and if he is not the coach in 2010, I believe he gets compensated pretty dearly. So BB is probably gone after this year not during the year.

2011 actually, so after the 2010 season.
 
I think Bowden gets too much hatred. Most of it is sour grapes because he beat a lot of people for a long time.

That said I never thought he deserved the all time wins record because of those non D1A wins at Samford. If they're going to count those, then either Robinson or Gagliardi is the record holder, depending on how you slice it.

So you are actually predicting there is a 50/50 chance that sometime during the season, Bobby Bowden may be fired or replaced? The same coach who as of right now is tied (NCAA infractions still pending) with Joe Pa for the winningest all time coach in D-1 NCAA? The same coach who built FSU from a cowtown girls school to National Championship team would not be allowed to finish the season?

Man you say some stupid ****.
 
It's not Bobby Bowden... it's the fact that they actively recruit thugs.
