This game is already lost. Our players are pissed and will mail it in. Can’t say I blame them. I’m pissed and I don’t have to go to Detroit for Christmas.

Seen it suggested on here and I'd be all for it, but any realistic chance the players decide to protest and tell them to F off. Would they give up a bowl to not go to Detroit and try to make a point?

I'd say that would lose us some favor with the ACC.....not that there's any to lose.

That's incredible. Not that we'd be better treated in the SEC or any other conference... but why does anyone want to be in the ACC, again?

It saved our butt financially.

But heck, in football anyway, if we were independent we could schedule a bunch of SEC teams. H&A. Play n.d., a big 10 team now and then. Schedule a pac 12 or big 12 now and then.

Almost like being in SEC with much better ticket sales for every game at Grant Field than now.

Run basketball like Georgetown (are they Indy?)

You might not have noticed but it's really hard to schedule good OOC games these days. Being independent right now is a slow death unless you're ND.

If I'm Todd, I'm doing whatever I can right now to get Tech out of this **** conference right now and back into the SEC. I don't care what the cost is, it will be worth it.

They would not take us.

Maybe, just maybe, if we agreed to play the Miss. schools about 10 years in a row at their place (thanks to Dodd never having the guts to go play there) and kick in about $500 million. Maybe.

Yeah, I’m afraid it’s going to be mailed in already. I’m pissed about inexplicably falling that far down the bowl pecking order, but I also really hope we still show up. Cut logos off, tell the ACC/Belk/whoever to get ööööed during the trophy ceremony, but I still hope that we actually go to play.

Plain and simple middle finger to Paul Johnson and GT. The ACC continues to blame us and the triple option for hurting their overall image by beating teams we shouldn’t on occasion, complaining about scheduling and officiating, and never injuring anyone.

Slap in the face. We should leave the conference first opportunity.

Let's do it. We'll pass the plate.

I can’t believe we managed to get screwed so badly. Were we the only school without a representative in this conversation???

Don’t totally disagree, but scheduling OOC means going to their place too. Right now, vast majority of SEC would beat us, but they would get return trip to ATL.

BUT all just theatre of the mind. Not going to happen. We won’t leave ACC. Swofford is a canker sore / scumbag, but we have brought some of this on ourselves by not traveling to OB vs Iowa, Gator vs Kentucky, and others.

CPJ has caused some of this. We can not stay with this system. We have got to make ourselves better.

We want better bowls when we are not locked into one? Sell more tickets.

The damn bowls could not care any less that this is CPJs last game. Doesnt mean crap to them.

Outside of UGA and maybe Florida, we could beat any team in the SEC East this season.

Horribly dangerous to compare scores but

- compare usc & us vs Clemson.
- Kentucky this year? We can’t beat puke.
- ut? I know last year but we got 700 yds of O - and lost.
- vandy beat ut badly & lost to ugag similar to us
- mizzou toss up

But again, all theatre of the mind.

Get accustomed to this if we keep 3O and don’t sell more bowl tix.
