With his size what position could

you can't have a 3-0 QB be successful if he isn't quick. Just not gonna happen...
George Godsey could run Paul Johnson's offense.

Certainly not as well as Joe Hamilton, granted, and possibly not as good as Nesbitt, but he could run it, and run it successfully.

No, it isn't in line with his past actions. Chan named Ball the starter as a true freshman over an incumbent starter. Maybe Ball had a limited play package to run, but it was never even close to what we saw from Nesbitt.

To assume he has the maturity, skills, and intelligence to step in over two seniors and a junior (not to mention an incoming freshman), while learning a brand new system under a demanding coach is extremely presumptuous.
You completely missed my point. It had nothing to do with who started. It was simply that Chan decided Nesbitt was the change of pace guy so didn't bother to teach him the regular offense. You choose to believe he couldn't pick it up. I choose to believe they didn't try to teach it to him as they were concentrating on their other package. I also haven't said a word about next year's starter.

I didn't miss your point, but the fact is that whether Chan didnt' teach him or Nesbitt couldn't pick it up, we just don't know whether he is going to be any more, or less, capable of executing this new offense than any of the other three. For all we know, as 33 pointed out with Chan, Bennett could be CPJ's favorite son as well by the time he gets to know all of them and it may not have anything to do with things we see.

Correct, but we do know who the best athelete is and who has 3 years eligibility left. All 3 being even in their understanding of the offense. Nesbitt wins hands down

I'm with clapper. The most important thing about running this offense is making good run reads. Nesbitt has hands down better CPJish stats than the other guys, but if Booker (or even Bennett) makes better run reads then they're going to get the start. And of none of them can make good run reads then I expect Jaybo Shaw to get some snaps.

I've said it in another thread, but I'll say it again. If PJ scoffs at Renfree not fitting the system, then Tater has almost zero chance. Both he and Bennett are nearing the end of their eligibility, and unless JN AND the incoming freshman show they can't handle PJ's offense, they will not play much.

If you don't believe speed in the backfield is an asset in the triple option, get the tape from the Fiesta bowl last PM.

But, back from the highjack, how about Booker at tight end?

Since we're pulling stuff out our asses, I expect Terrelle Pryor to be next season's starting QB on The Flats. (And our point guard, too.)

Funny that nobody mentions the importance of BALL HANDLING in the triple option........and Nesbitt did NOT exhibit skill in that area.

Nesbitt did better as the year wore on, though. That's something.

Watch some of the GSU game highlights that have been posted on this site, and then decide which QBs fit the mold that Johnson is looking for. What you see there is the type of player PJ is looking for - fast, elusive, good decision maker, decent arm.
