Kyle, I supported you more than anybody with your "I wish we had Tenuta post." When somebody gives props to your very low credibility, take it and grow from it. Don't be an ass.

That being said, start another post about telling our DC to hit the road.
 
You can't play zone without a pass rush. The entire tampa 2 is based on great pass rushing DE. If you give a quarterback time, I don't care how great your secondary is, a medicore quaterback and above will find holes. I have no complaints with our CB's and safeties, I lay the blame on our idiot DC who doesn't put pressure on the QB. Did you notice how when we played zone, it was always to a WR who was wide open and when it was man, it was always to a TE, FB, RB or a screen that was wide open. That isn't bad playing, that is bad coaching.

BOR doesn't deserve that type of respect, especially with his "he had no clue he was right" comment.

And then they would throw their hands up in the air, thinking it would magically stop the pass/Harris would be unable to throw due to the fact his vision was skewed due to hands being in his immediate vision. No need for an actual pass rush though

We could've put that skinny boy in the dirt but chose not to. The few blitzes we ran were crap because they haven't been coached.
 
I don't think we could have stopped Harris if we rushed eleven. Florida State tried it and he torched their asses. We brought in extra people to stop Harris but, at this point, I don't know if anybody can stop that kid. He has eyes in the back of his head. Its not that we didn't bring the lumber its that he always knew where his hot reads were. That kid is some kinda good.
 
D-line was supposed to suck.

Where the **** is our secondary this year?

fsu de's rush so far up the field the took themselves out of the play...ours barely got 3 yds in the backfield

Doesn't take a genius to figure out OCs are tearing apart our pass defense. Then our linebackers stand away from the line of scrimmage to provide pass support and they start running the ball.

It all seemed to start with the UVA game when their no-name QB looked like a Heisman trophy winner. Then we gave up 28 to FSU, 28 to UNC, faced a Patrick Nix offense, 42 to UGA, 38 to LSU, 27 to Clemson, and now 33 to Miami. Every real offense we are facing is killing us right now.

Good point. The only teams we held to sub 14 was Mississippi State (sucks butt), Duke (sucks more butt), and Gardner Webb (sucks even more butt).

Agreed. I expressed grave concern over Wommack back in July, and got nothing but insults from BOD and his lieutenants on this board. It is BOD who has no clue.

There was in July, and is now, EVERY reason to question Wommack.

Umm did you see the fatass Miami end catch the ball when Terrant just shrugged his shoulders and stood straight up before the play? I think it was Burnett, but it took him a HUGE hit to get that boy out of bounds after he caught it...
 
I'm still not sold on this idea yet. Our defense did NOT look remotely good last night, but I'd like a larger sample size for both our D and Miami's O. Before the game I thought our Dline getting pressure was key, turns out that was right, and they didn't. I was worried when FSU didn't get pressure, but I lied to myself saying that our Dline might be better than FSU's.

Either we are very very bad on defense or Miami is very very good on their OLine. I need a couple of more games to make a decision. I'd say our D did not look terrible against CU or JSU, but about what I expected after losing 3 NFL players on the DLine. Ask me again in 3 weeks and I'll tell you if Wommack sucks or doesn't suck.

Even if he sucks, I don't think I'd want Tenuta back (assuming he'd come back).
