Word on da street 2...

Bradley's Blog just shows that given the opportunity this poor journalist was delighted to forego objectivity and become a Dawg fan. His comments would be fine on a Dawg Board. I hope Chan tells him where to shove his blog after a win over UGA in November.

Did everyone consider him this evil when he said GT would win the NCAA BB championship?

Oh come on. Richt-nothing but top 10 recruiting classes, Gailey nothing but 35-55 recruiting classes. They ought to be kicking our ass every year, but we keep it close each of the last 3. Just say that Richt's a better recruiter than Gailey but the gap is closing.

And don't forget that Richt will have to blow a scholie on some Bowden relative in the near future.:laugher:
A wins a win, close or not. Recruiting is part of the coach's job, right?

Recruiting is different at different schools. I'm pleasantly surprised by the way our recruiting has turned around, but I'm surprised nonetheless. The pool of valid recruits will always be smaller for Tech than UGA. The key is to beat out UGA for those recruits. I'm not trying to make excuses for Chan becuase we all know we've beaten UGA consistently in the past. I'm just saying recruiting is different between our two schools.

All you're doing is making excuses. It's all about the bottom line.

So then you think we have an equal playing field in recruiting? You believe we can recruit ANY player that UGA does? You believe we have the same entry standards for new students as UGA does?

It's not an excuse; it's a fact. We CANNOT recruit the same players as UGA. Now, like I said before, if we can consistently recruit the pool of Tech-eligible players, we should be more than capable of competing with and beating UGA consistently.

Not familiar with the concept of an excuse are you? Something being factual doesn't mean you cannot use it as an excuse.
