Didn't O'Brien think he couldn't compete with the academic levels as they are at Tech? I don't remember exactly.
O'Brien's teams aren't exactly world beaters in the Big East.
A cohesive coaching staff might be the thing that helps us most.

At this point, yes. TOB is a good coach and his teams are always well prepared (ask UGA). His style of football might have been boring as all-get-out, but he would have taken this talent and gotten more out of it. Long-term, who knows. He probably would have needed to be a whale of a recruiter to play his style here.
