Would you rather...

I'm sorry about starting a s*** storm by posting this I was just hoping to see people's opinion.

I like everyone else want to win every single game but I just was curious to see if we had to lose one game which one would it be? Because each has its pros and cons.

Question - would you rather be rich or incredably handsome?
Answer - well gee, I'd rather be both.
That is what my students do. If they don't know the answer, they just make up a different question and answer it.

But you know what, my professors usually tried to ask questions that were reflective of the actual material they were teaching instead of questions that just don't reflect on the situation being taught. In this case we don't have to choose one or the other because it is actually possible to have both.

So in this case if your students said I'd like to have both then they'd be right because you were putting in something artificial.

Maybe. My point is I bet ugag fans don't play this game. Duke basketball fans don't ask, would you rather beat UNC or win the ACC? FL fans don't ask would you rather beat Miami or FSU? They assume they can do both so why choose.

That is just it. It is not about talking up this game EVERY year. You make it sound like the "clean old fashioned" hatred is brewed up anew sometime in November of each season.

Maybe the GT "in your blood" fans like myself that despise georgia year round from the time we were slapped right until we leave this earth are a dwindling breed.
If so, that is a very big shame.

Some of you that only care about getting to a big bowl game without regard to cutting corners will also not understand why we still lack respect.

Let us win 7 out of 10 of these things consistently, and it will be somewhat different.
Until then, we must win our share of our league AND beat georgia before we can play for any type of championship. In our case, the state football championship comes first. This is not basketball.

P_W,

You Da' Man !!!

Right on and a big ol' AMEN.

My favorite dessert is BANANA PUDDING, hands down.

If NCAA had a new bowl game called the "Banana Pudding Bowl", it would rank higher than all the others and I'd still rather we beat uga than go to the banana pudding bowl.

Although it pains me to say it- I would rather lose to UGay and win the ACCCG and slide right into the Orange bowl. More exposure and a ton of money.I will be there Saturday and hopefully us Tech fans can make some noise !!!!!

I want to break down this post. It's a good post, particularly for a 1st post, but it hits the issues I want to talk about.

1. More exposure. I'm not sure what we gain with national exposure right now, over regional exposure. We are really going after Georgia right now in our recruiting, and beating Georgia will have a bigger impact locally than playing in Miami, in my opinion.

2. A ton of money. Except for allowances for travel, all the bowl money goes into the ACC pot and is divided evenly. We don't get BCS money; we get a share of BCS money whether we go or someone else goes.

3. Winning the next 2 games is not either/or. We can split them, or lose them both, or run the table. I think winning Saturday makes it MORE likely we will win in Jax.

4. Cheering for the Jackets is always the way to go!

5. By the end of the game, I hope we are the ONLY ones in the stadium making noise, except for some boo-birds!

Look man, I ain't trying to talk down this series. I have been a part of it since my diaper days too. The fact stands that we are WAY behind in the win column with these guys. The bile I speak of comes from everybody getting hyped up for a game that quite frankly I NEVER have a confident feeling about going in. Until that record changes, I will not talk up anything until they hit the field.
Personally beating UGA is a must. Yes it will be different when we win consistently against them. My point is that our program really is no position to talk up a game every year that we have not controlled our own destiny. If we are the better team then we should definetly win, right?:fingersx:

I'm not picking ****. But I am taking a big fat crap all over this thread.

This brings up another question.

Would you rather:

(A) Have BoR call you a moron
(B) Have BoR call you an idiot
(C) Have BoR say you are full of s**t
(D) Have BoR take a big fat crap all over you
or
(E) All of the above

BOR can call me bout anything he wants to. Hey, I'm not proud. Anything at all would most likely be bragging on me.

All I gotta say is, LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD AND KICK SOME UGA BUTT. I'm wanting to see a line of WINS for us and it's gotta start Saturday.

Bowl games are GREAT. They make us a lot of money if they pay enough to cover our feed, our fuel and our bed fees.

BUT !!!!!!

There aint but one UGA game for us and it's here on us. Let's not miss this opportunity to waller in a win.

I misunderstood you. Sorry! I feel the same way.

The boastful predictions of a butt kicking seem a bit wishful and a lot empty with the record of the last 40 years. What we need is a win by any score.

I just hope that those who say this game doesn't matter as it always has, really don't mean it.
Until a loss to georgia is accepted as a fluke, this is the most important football game we play every year.

why are we even having this conversation

The entire point of having a team is to beat Georgia.

Somebody send a doctor over to BOR. He must have a hell of a case of constipation because this thread has been going on for days and he hasn't crapped on it yet!
